as you can see in my build i found the DIY filter much more restrictive to airflow than even pushing through a prefab one
you could do what i did and that was to ask the hydro store to hang on to a small one when customers replace them, i had to wait a week til one showed up

I agree with the filter...there is one specific way to to make a filter...IMO you are better off buying a phresh or similar
