I'm just a poor retired butcher and used to eat meat at every meal but meat prices are crazy high ware I live so unless it's on sale I don't buy much any more.Ground beef used to be cheap but even that is expensive.I hope you guys enjoy your steaks while I splurge on a can of sardines and crackers.

Never heard of Yorkshire pudding, I don't think. Is it made from Yorkshire Terriers?? Cuz that would be terrierable lmfao!

There simple and delicious and enjoyed mainly on a roast beef lunch, another popular dish that uses them is Toad in the hole.

Here's a Yorkshire pud at home drowned in gravy lol oh and a recipe too.

I do love a lazy Sunday, nice long walk with the dogs in the countryside then home where the only jobs to do are opening the 3 bottles of beer and roasting a nice joint of beef mmmmm I do love roast beef and Yorkshire puddings....do you guys have Yorkshire puddings over the pond?
Mmmmmmmm, a few restaurants in my area will do a roast beef with popovers, but Yorkshire gets no credit.. Sounds delightful, TaNg!

Sounds like pretty much my plans too TaNg, except change beef for pork lol.:Sharing One:

Only way to go, Roast Pork, roast spuds, roast parsnips with swede, cabbage and carrots! Not forgetting the Yorkies and the apple sauce!!:check:

PAL :peace:

MikeyB.

Hey MikeyB, what is "swede"? I've heard it mentioned twice on posts, but never heard of it.
Peace to you!

Swede is a root vegetable similar to turnip, radish and manglewurzel (lol), boil for 45 mins, mash the hell out of it, add butter and black pepper! Lovely!!

It's also Orange in colour, makes for a colourful plate.

Swede and spuds.jpg

Just a comparison between spuds and swede!
