They are Famous here for Benidorm...because Benidorm has a big retiree community through winter the hotels hire them out to old people..but come the summer all the teenagers hire them so they can drink themselves stupid..and still get back to their hotels...:tiphat:

Some of you know that I have had a Bad couple of weeks..my Mom was rushed to hospital with a blood clot on her lung..she got out and my Step Dad got rushed in and sadly passed away..that is why I was MIA recently.

My Step Dad was a Lovely man..always Happy..always ready to give you a Help if he could..Generous with his Love..but shall we say..quite frugal with his money..always a cause of banter between him and my Mom.

So she is in this miasma of dealing with banks/insurance/funeral directors and nurses coming for blood tests and doctors ringing with results for her blood clot...she is dizzy..and the phone goes yesterday and a voice asks to Speak to her husband..

she say..unfortunately he has recently passed away..

so the voice at the end of the phone says I'm sorry...he ordered a special pack of flower bulbs for spring growing..

and my says Yes..knowing he did order them for her..thinking they were arranging to deliver them...

then there is an embrassed cough on the line and the woman says..well...he sent the order form in Without any Payment...would you like to pay for them now or cancel the order...?....:crying:..my Mom said she cracked up laughing..she said he has died and he still managed to get one over me with money.

You couldn't make it up could you...:coffee2:

Sorry to hear about the loss and varied medical bad lucks, seems like bad medical luck occurs in batches with long quiet times between lol. Glad you're still shining bright and carrying happy karmas.

In other news I was doing my wakeup routine of browsing Wikipedia for an hour lol. My wakeup routine is weird... My eyes and brain usually wake up before my body does lol, so I'm in the habit of browsing research or wiki for awhile to wake up fully. Probably a leftover college habit, fall asleep with book, wake up and continue reading lol... So somehow I was trying to figure out what GMT or Greenwich Mean Time is exactly, and it's relationship to Zulu Time... And whether or not I really want the Zulu people deciding the world's clocks lmao!

Then I found out that you guys have an Isle of Dogs near London!!! Omg a whole island for dogs!! Holy ships this is fantastic! Are they hot dogs too??!!1! Turns out, there's not really a whole island with a dog government, dogs playing poker (whose pictures thereof I see everywhere...so they must play lots of poker on the homeland Isle of Dogs rit?), and perhaps a booming frisbee and dog treat business.

My wishes and dreams for the Isle of Dogs is partially crushed, like a young boys' Christmas bicycle run over by the asshole neighbors before New Years. Yet, I still have my high aspirations for the upcoming Isle of Cats (copyright Anthro 2014) and subsequent boom to the local sardines industry.

Isle of Cats shall feature a lesbian cat bar called Meow Mix, a robust theatre community but will only show the play Kats (played by actual cats this time), no dogs allowed, and no blimey words like "blimey" allowed. Fines shall be paid in kitty treats or Adele panties. Take that, Isle of Dogs!
 
Nobody has stepped up with a theme this weekend but it's the last full weekend of the month so lets have FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD. I'm claiming next Friday for All Hallows Eve.
 
Since I'm a native born Mainer, we tend to take the much lauded Maine Lobster Dinner for granted. But, from special occasions to last meals, there's not much better to be had in these pahts!
There are no less than 50 restaurants within a mile of where I sit that can throw it down with the best of them :)

Oh the elvis loves food! Ill think up something to cook and share. Its been low temps here 48f at night an 77f in the day. Im lovin it!

The cool weather makes me more hungry.
