Hey friends, what point of cold does Cannabis start shutting down and cease growing / production? My night low temps are getting damn cold fast and I now wonder if I need a night time heater...?
 
Night time isn't quite as important as day time but I try to keep my night time above 60F. I think when you start getting into the 50's you may shock some plants but as with anything, it is strain dependent. Some equatorial satis are not going to like cool temps at all. You won't have to worry about that if you stick with autos though because they aren't going to have an abundance of sativa genes in them.
 
I might be in trouble then lol, night low was 37 F, day high is fine at about 70 F. My tent is in an outdoor barn/shed thing, so I'm purely subject to outdoor temps lol. I think I can easily throw a small electric heater on a timer and be done with it.
 
Are you talking about a aquarium heater that raises the water temp? The safest and best heater I have found is the electric oil filled radiater with a thermostat.

Well I wasn't worried about heat that much because I have a heat pump for the room. The thing is, it keeps it warm/cool but I thought if I could get a small propane or kerosene heater I could supply co2 as well and kill two birds with one stone. I am thinking about this one below. I only need about 3000 BTU to keep the room warm but I think with a couple of 24V relays and a timer I can make a small controller that will cycle it on and off with the lights and supply co2 as well. Should be able to do the entire thing for less than $100.

Alaska should go with it? Isn't it right that every resident of the state recieves an annual payment from a state fund, be cool to have coffeeshops and spend that in them! :grin:

I can't see Florida going the legal meds route, too much concerted anti-campaining there.

If the room is not sealed, and temp are not 85-95F, the CO2 is a waste.
 
I think I'm just going to let mine keep freezing at night for a bit and see what happens lol. Seems like just a few short months ago I had them cooking at 115 F lol, poor things. I'm pretty sure Canna is probably the only plant that could grow on Mars without much effort hahaaa :p

The room is sealed, insulated and has a vapor barrier in the walls. It has active intake and exhaust, a dedicated heat pump/AC, dehumidifier and humidifier. I built the room myself with one thought in mind. Growing.
