I just read the last few pages here and I have to say, some of y'all are old. As old as me. Lol. Eight track tapes and rush/locker room/poppers take me back to my early years in high school. My last surviving eight track was Black Oak Arkansas.
Sigh...now I feel old...er. :pighug: there, I feel better now.

Most of my 8 tracks ended up with many different mixes. A guy in south Florida developed and sold a device that turned any 8 track player into a recorder for $20 installed.
A little black box with one button and dual inputs. it was on and recording or off. It was amazing because at the time the only recorders available were really expensive commercial machines. Blank tapes were almost impossible to find so I had to tape over existing tracks. The boom box craze followed and the record feature added a pretty penny to their price even though it was only a small type of single diode or transistor (?) that cost a few dollars at most.

and they wonder why people use ebay and don't visit shops anymore !
when I was 13 I went through a phase of sniffing gas/butane/lighter refills for kicks,better than glue eh ? I was even more way stupider back then.
well back then you could get a tin of gas in any corner shop,petrol station,supermarket,bargain store.and now nowhere to be seen why ? and why did I spend an hour fucking around when ebay is just a click away.

Did any of ya fall for the "Drying banana skins" and then smoking them, scam ???? Come on, come on......

Any other daft things we did ???? Dying for a ciggie and smoking tea bags rolled up in a page of a Gideons !! etc etc
