Can somebody tell me is this any good?? What driver and how much bins should i need for efficient 150w from the wall,it would be my second diy led in tent.. @BigSm0 ?

They are 50v cobs so to achieve 150watts you could do 2@1400ma or 3@1050ma. They are said to be best around 75w but all cobs and lights for that matter are best at lower amperage. I'm not super familiar with them but assume they are a fine choice.

Can I go then with meanwell hgl 185 ? 1400 ?'
4cobs at 50w??
I'm totally dummy, my second diy has set up kingbrighte when i was ordering from him. :D

4 would be too many on an HLG185H. You would need to use two HLG185H-C1050 or 1400 drivers. It would also depend on what cob holder you use. The BJB holders are only rated to 130 volts, 3 would put you at 150, or over voltage. Another option is the HLG185H-48A, a constant voltage driver. You can run 4 of those chips a 55 watts each.

Kingbright put me on 185 1400hgl for 4 cree 3070 3500k.. So I was thinking would it be possible to do the same but with luminus...

the 3070 is a 36 volt cob 36x4=144 volts, and you'd peak at about 200 watts on that driver, about its max. With 50v cobs your at about 210 volts for 4 cobs, and at 1.4 amps, your over 290 watts, much more than the driver can provide.
Also, Ideal cob holders are rated for 200V. they cost more however and require and adapter to mount lenses what used.

Volts x Amps=watts, handy to figure what driver you need. You need to read the data sheets for cobs you buy, they tell you things like voltage., forward voltage, minimum and maximum amp draw, etc. That is all data useful in driver selection

Now I don't get s*it.. Let me say like this, if i wanna to have 4 luminus cobs, what exactly meanwell do I need'?
Please use idiot mode for me.. :)

I know it sounds tricky, but it is not really. My opinion is run the in the 50 watt range for efficiency. Look at the AutoCobs, they run at 55 watts my reccomendation would be to use 2, HLG185H-C1050a drivers. That gives you room to ad another cob to each later if you wish

Hey man

What is the price on one of those cobs?

Why not go Citizen cobs the clu048 1212 the 36v version, you can get 4 cobs onto the HLG-185-1400

Citizen is tried and trusted

Quiet a few people using them on here with some decent results, I am currently running 2 on my meanwell HLG-185-1400 and I plan on getting two more early next month

The HLG320h-c1400 will run 4 chips at around 70w or the hlg240h-c1050 will run 4 chips at around 50w
