Mixed stuff...

Thought I would start a grow journal. I did not keep track of what seed was what and decided to just mix and bread my best plants. I have started 1 (Fem) Black cream by sweet seeds, 1 or 2 (Reg) Blue Himalayan Diesel, 1 or 2 (Reg) MI5, 1 (Fem)Purple kush, 1 (Fem) Northern lights from Royal queen seeds, And I might have planted a Diesel ryder my the joint doctor also Reg but am un sure cuz I either mixed it with my MI5 seeds or planted it.


I dumped one seed down the drain when I was drinking rum and one plant died cuz either a bug or my cat attacked it and broke the stem when it was like 2 days old.


Using Fox farms happy frog soil with pearlite added about 80/20 mix. For nutes I am using Roots organic Buddha bloom and Buddha grow, Roots organic Cal mag
and Pro tech Silica for PH up as the grow and bloom seems to drop my PH a little.



My goal is to try to bread a MI5 male with either a Purple Kush or Black cream. I Planted a Black cream and something else a few days before every thing else and have planted the rest of my plants over a few days starting 2 days after starting my first 2. I have grown the BHD a lot so know what it looks like as well as the Purple Kush and diesel so am pretty sure I will be able to identify all plants even though I have not kept track of them. The MI5 is the only sativa dom one so it should be easy to spot and I think I have spotted my Black cream already cuz one of my first 2 I planted looks like it is going to be purple already. Not using the cal mag in picture. I think my largest one is the black cream.


These pictures are a few days old, I have transplanted my 2 largest plants now will post more pictures later.


Using a Bad boy T5 8 bulb with 4 3,000K and 4 5,400K bulbs and 18 hours on. I have not noticed a difference between 18 and 20 so figured I would do 18 for cost.

So small up date: My largest is getting some purple in the leaves and as I think it is genetically purple it might be a mag def also cuz I have not started using it yet and am using only bottled water. My next watering I will feed a little cal mag as I should have probably started using it by now. The pearlite in to the happy frog made a big difference and when I took the plants out of the cups I was expecting the soil to break apart a little but it all stayed together and was strong all the way to the bottom of the cup. Had no transplant shock and will probably do a light feeding in a week or so like 5ml per gallon of Veg as well as a little Neem oil and Damascus earth for preventive care.


Don't know if you can see it in the pic but I tried to get a shot of the purple in the leaves of my largest plant. If it fades when I add the cal mag than it was not meant to be but I did plant a purple kush in there some were and they don't show purple tell they start to flower so maybe I will get some colorful plants out of the bunch as well as some good smelling and tasting smoke.

Its hard to say what the deformed one is yet cuz I have noticed this defect in Diesel strains as well as my Purple Kush

My oldest one is around 2 weeks old, I think I germinated it on the night of December 27th. I don't know if the second one with the deformity is the same age or a day or 2 older. I should see the sex of my largest one in one week. If it was my black cream it was a fem seed.

Well tough decision right now as my largest plant has showed its sex and is female as expected but my red cup in the middle is male and I think it is Himalayan Blue Diesel as it looks Indica but could be a diesel (I would not be able to tell, tell it started to smell cuz they have similar growth patterns and there too small rite now anywise) and I was hoping for a MI5 male. My 2 youngest plants are MI5 and are about 1 to 1.5 weeks behind the male. O screw it I want some sativa mixed in to my stuff I am killing it. Going to start 2 more MI5 just incase my other 2 are female and if I don't need them then maybe I will get lucky and get a female I can grow for smoke. I think out of 4 MI5 I should get both male and female plants TIME TO KILL A PLANT!

So here is an update I have kept my largest plant as it has the purple trait I am looking for and am still looking for a father plant. I kept 3 plants so far, my first male was definitely an indica dominate plant and was sure it was Himalayan Blue Diesel so I killed it as I decided I would like a MI5 male as it is the most sativa dominate plant in my auto seed collection. I also have 2 MI5 seeds I have started just incase I don't have a male out of the remaining 3 for pollen. Still don't know if my female is Purple Kush or Black cream cuz it is to early but should know in around 2 more weeks as the PK has very little branching and grows strait up and the Black cream should have more side branching like my Himalayan diesel.

Still have not fed any thing and my next watering on the largest one will include around 5 ML of Buddha bloom, a few drops of cal/mag and a few drops of silica additive and will transplant the largest in the red cup to a larger 2 gallon pot if it is female.

O ya also killed a plant in a larger pot that had a leaf defect and another one that I believe was stunted. My remaining 3 in the red cups could be MI5 as well as Northern lights By royal quean seeds so if one turns out to be indica dom in the 3 it is a Northern light, which I think the largest one in the red cups is. I could be wrong though as I did not keep track and will not know for sure tell every thing is around 30 days old and has an odor to it cuz I never kept track of anything.

So I thought I would be able to identify my plants but can't so am starting over. I am going to grow out my largest one but am starting over with some MI5 and a Purple Kush. I have also started a photo 8 Ball Kush and Green crack plant. I plan on topping the 8 ball and GC probably twice so they bush out well.


This plant has a purple smell to it so it might be a purple kush and if so and I get a MI5 male before it is too late to pollinate I will just seed it and kill the rest of the autos so I can get on with my Photo grow.


This plant is 17 days old if we are counting from when it surfaced from the soil.


Also I fed it for the first time today with 5ml of veg, 3 drops of cal mag and 3 drops of silica in a gallon of water. The plant has a little of a dark green color to it still so I didn't what to over feed with nitrogen. Going to start using cal mag more and am testing the silica cuz I have never used it before so will use it a few times lightly this grow and see how it goes.

So the only plant I have is now day 20 but I have some other stuff going now, seeds have split and are in cups now.
