So as most of us know, music festivals take place all throughout the year but summer is coming up and that's music festival prime time! I figured I'd make a thread where we can all share info about up coming music festivals, experiences, our favorite ones and so forth. :wiggle:

Well I'll get us started! By far one of my favorite festivals is coming up in July. Its a little 4 day (5 day this year....I'm stoked!) Music festival called Floydfest. This will be the 13th year this festival has been held and I've been lucky enough to attend two of those years, this year will be the third. Floydfest takes place in a little town called Floyd, Virginia, just off of the blue ridge parkway. I've been all over to festivals and Floydfest is hands down one of my favorites. The people are amazing there, very helpful and polite people! The music has a few different flavors at Floydfest from reggae, to folk, to string music, and a touch of just about anything along those lines. Jiggy Marley is playing this year, along with an amazing line up. Most of.which is still to be announced. Well there's my part, can't wait to hear what everyone else has to add! :Sharing One: :peace:

So, who's next?

Hey dude, right around the corner in May is the Maryland Deathfest! 3 days of various genres of metal including my doom favs Bongripper alongside Dark Angel, Candlemass and Pungent Stench. Definitely the metal fest of the year in the USA \m/

My all time favorite is Wacken Open Air over in Germany. It's the largest party I've ever experienced, and getting to stay in Amsterdam for 2 days before and after was the icing on the cake. Sadly it's already sold out this year : (

Hey nomis, thanks for sharing my man! Thought I was the only festival lover for a ! :dunno:
I've never been much of a metal fan, but I'm down for any festival!! :Sharing One:

Been to Bonnaroo the last 2 years and have absolutely loved it quite the treck from my neck of the woods deciding after the linup comes out if ill be their or on a 10+ day 3200m roadtrip. But excited for the season to start as I normally make it to a few locals fests in the hills.

Living down here in the gulf of mexico region, (Panhandle of FLA, Orange Beach AL, Biloxi MS, And of course New Orleans). we are gearing up for the Mardi Gras. It happens all the way from one end to the other, 3 states about a dozen lil towns. during summer we have maybe 4 or 5 BIG jams on the beach, 3 and 4 stage ordeals. If this post stays up I can post some of the bands and dates when they start coming around if ya want. You just ain't lived until you sign up for the mullet toss. LOL PEACE

I've had Bonnaroo in my sights for quite some time! This year just might be the year I make a little trek myself.

Sounds like a good time bro!! Floydfest would make you feel right at home with all those stages.... they have 8+ every year! As far as you sharing info on festival dates and line ups, I think that within reason of site rules.
