Welcome aboard redrobbo ... all I can tell you is I must have been too eager, brain fart, stupid ass hillbilly, whatever adjective suits ya, lol. Now I'm having a time waiting on my Herbies order, because I want to grow fems and got a quite a few regular autos in hand. I'm thinking if they don't come by tomorrow, I'm at least going to soak a couple beans and grow them in beer pong cups. :peace:

Oh yeah, smoked a little top in a paper towel pipe and got a decent little buzz today. Of course I would expect my tolerance to be way down since I hadn't smoked since New Years eve ... :peace:

Yer pulling or cutting the big fan leaves?? Been thinking of doing some of that myself. If thy fan leaf offends the then pluck it from the. lol

Yer pulling or cutting the big fan leaves??

Calling me out ... I see how it is now :Haha: Just kidding bro, as I hadn't got any trimming snips yet so I had to use scissors. Keep in mind that these are photos and after all the abuse, (including leaving them all night in less than 50 degree temps), that I've done too them, if they DON'T hermie ... than I would have to say these Fire99 photos are very well bred ... and/or I'm a lucky fuker lol. Seriously bro, I'm looking more at this grow as an experiment/learning experience and if I do harvest some buds, than that's just icing on the cake ... :peace:

Oh yeh that's right - I forgot that they are photo duh.

Cheer up dude yer herbies order should get there soon. I ordered from the herbies auto site recently. I ordered on 2/14(Sat) so they probably didn't see the order til Monday the 16th. I got my order on the 26th. Pretty quick

Day 34

Day 34 and the girls still haven't raised their skirts. I mean I've subjected Brenda and Kay to so much abuse that I'm starting to believe they are hermie proof. Over the last 5 days they've been topped, bent, nearly drowned, gone through 48 hours of darkness, and been subjected to 30 degree temperatures 2 nights in a row. You know that says a lot for the genetics. If you don't know the story of Cindy99, I will post it at the bottom of this post. Many people surmise that she is the result of a Jack Herer that hermied, but I find that hard to believe. The other parent of Fire99 is Fire Kush, which I know little about. Anyone with information would be appreciated. Anyways, I've done everything except switch to bloom nutes, as they have not been fed in a week. So that will be my next step. Until next time ... :peace:

A Cinderella Story

As told by Mr. Soul of the now defunct Brothers Grimm
Cinderella’s Story begins in 1997, when I discovered a few surprising seeds in a bud of Jack Herer (a Sensi strain named after the famous hemp activist) that I bought from the Sensi Smile coffeeshop. I wasn’t really expecting much when I grew them, but one of those seeds produced an undeniably special female. I called her “Princess”.
I’d also bought some seeds on purpose during the same trip to Sensi Smile, and from these I got a few more promising females and several males. I used pollen from one of these males on a heavy yielding, dense, resinous Shiva Skunk female from Sensi Seedbank, then used the resulting seeds t grow a crew of males worthy of crossing with Princess.
At this point, I began the cubing process. I crossed one of the males with Princess, making seeds that were 50% Princess, or P50. I then used males that grew from this batch of P50 seeds to backcross with the original Princess, creating a P74 (75% Princess) batch f seeds. I again backcrossed the original Princess with pollen from a P75 male to get a P88, then once more to get a P94, which is “Cinderella”, a cubed version of Princess.
C99 is the F2 generation of this Cinderella plant that Brothers Grimm developed. True-breeding reliability is something that takes a while to prove itself, but the F2 generation of C99 is very much the same as the original F1 C99 in my experience. I feel, but can’t say for certain, that subsequent generations will continue to produce plants with the essential traits of the original C99. That’s the theory of cubing.
Aside from her stability, Cindy 99 stand out because she finishes flowering in under 60 days, like an indica. but delivers a delicious and pleasurable sativa high. This makes her attractive to both commercial grower and the cannabis connoisseur.
