Grow Room OS 24 Carat

I am going to try this again. I'm about two weeks out on my current 24 Carat grow and only one of the plants has really performed. I have ten 24 Carat seeds left and I am going to start them all and pick six to eight of the plants to grow. Stay tuned.

hello mate, how you been keeping ? just a quick question for you, how close do you have your light mate and are you still using your mars 2 ?

Hi Jack, Yes I am still using the Mars II 700. It's at it's maximum 26" away from the floor so about 18" from the top of the tallest plant. I also have a Mars I 300W that I am going to try this grow. Why do you ask? Do you think the power of the light is stunting the plants?

i have the mars 2 400w, i been keeping mine about 17-20 inches away i no my NL is only day 30 something but she is small only 10 inches with 1/2 inch node spaces with no LST this time but im starting to think it might be to close but i dont want to move it up in case she has a big stretch. what do you think mate ?

Jack, I have had consistently short plants (shorter than the breeders specify in their ads.) I think the power of the Mars II is keeping the plants short. This has been working for me as I have so little height to grow in. If you have the space for taller plants I'd pull your light up to the 24"-36" distance that Top/Mars LED recommends. I'm going to try the smaller light I bought to see if I can get a little more height out of the 24 Carat this grow. It's also very cold now where I live so I think the problems I've had with this grow are due to more than the intensity of the light. I'll be by your thread to see how your light is working with the Northern Lights. Cheers!

BTW I am at day 56 and my tallest plant is about 10" tall. How is that silent extraction fan of yours working? Is it really quiet?

i had to buy a little 1ft tube heater just to keep the temps up and the fan is amazing, i had a mate of mine leaning ageist my box and he did not know it was there and my LED is louder than my fan lol.

Yea, its probably a bit of both. Lighting distance, and colder temps..Plus perhaps the lighter feeding. I started off to light on my pruple fruit basket, and I think Ive stunted it..Since it seems like it should be bigger at this point for a 3 gallon. Less it still has a stretch bust coming up. My lights are relatively close..but not to close. Close enough to make them smaller? I think so.

They look awesome though my friend. Maybe be small but the smoke looks fire.

Thanks my friend. You are correct the buds are frosty. When I thought that I had light burn earlier in the grow it was crazy trics coming on. Peace
