I just lost 3 out of 4 seedlings. Here is my situation. I have to use the goliath to start my seeds. Its the only light I have. I am using 7 gal fabric smart pots. In a 5+5 tent. Im using fox forest soil. I have water ph of 6.5 which I think is right for soil. I think I have either over or under watered the seedlings. So I have 4 more seeds that have just germinated today and are ready to be planted. They are expensive seeds I cant afford any more trial and errors! My questions are 1- Do I fully water this 7 gal pot to start? The soil is dry now. I just watered around the seedling the first time not the whole pot and only one survived. I might have drounded them at first, by putting them in the dryish soil and then adding water on top of them just watering two or 3 inches around the seed itself not the whole pot. 2- how far should this powerful light be from the seed sprout? My temperature is 76-79 and humidity 30-50 if that matters. Please some one that actually has a goliath school me today please!!! Thanks!

Unfortunately i dont use this light but it sounds to me like your doing everything right with the seeds and watering, the only things i can think of is that the soil your using has too many nutrients in it for baby seedlings or the lights too close? But you said you may of underwatered them, a little tip for seedling is to cut a plastic bottle in half and place over the seed so the soil doesn't dry out too quick & the humidity stays high in the bottle which the seedlings love :) this is autobeasts set up with the goliath, notice the light is right at the top of tent.

Hey man, you gotta keep that goliath as far above the seedlings as possible. U can get hold of Neil on the website the lights are sold on and he will guide you through what to do. He has hundreds of Youtube videos covering germination to harvest. I know that he takes care of people who buy his lights

Get the light as high as possible, then move your plants to the corners of the tent for at least 10 days.
