Pure Michigan, Poor Genetics

Only 2 out of 5 seeds germinated. I was able to get a 3rd one to sprout by filing the end but now it's grown a little it's obvious nature didn't want it to sprout from the start.

Seeds cost way too much to accept this type of product. Especially considering my results with popular white label products have been better.

Ah man that sucks. I had a pack of Pure Michigan recently and I also had germination issues. Scuffed, soaked, hydrogen peroxide, etc... Must have been a tough batch or something.

The pack of Stargazer I also picked up has germed real fast and easy. I got spider mites on one that was dang close to the finish too. I read the company had some issues the last couple years with a fire and lost a lot so maybe we just got unlucky on some restart work. I hear ya on the $$ spent. I got hooked up with some good extras though.

I shot a message to the company and asked what they recommended for a beginner that was easy to grow. Heh!

I chose it specifically because I'm in a state that borders Michigan so we have nearly identical weather. For years I've heard for best outdoor results one should pick a good strain that has been field tested and proven to be viable and hearty for a similar growing environment.

Wow. Yeah, that sucks. We're getting raped on the price of seeds. Genetics need to be on point to justify such an expense.

I don't mean to hijack the thread too much but, you should check out Jean-O's genetics. He's another Michigan guy. I ran his root beer float strain as my first grow ever and it was awesome. Still smoking it almost a year later.

Website isn't the best but he is active on here a ton. Also $12 for a three pack of certain strains/seeds most are $24.
