Outdoor Royal dwarf outdoor 2nd Grow

Hello everyone, I've ordered 3 Royal Queen Seeds' Royal Dwarfs a couple days ago from Seedsman and if all goes I should have them in 2 or 3 weeks. One I will be giving to a friend and the other two I will be growing outdoors, more than likely in small 3 gallon pots, which will be filled a third of the way with worm castings and a light tomato soil mixed together (likely with egg shells, banana peels, and other organic waste) and the top 1/3 will be seedling mix so they dont nurtient burn. The middle 1/3 will be 50/50 seedling mix and the other nutrient rich soil. Keep in mind this is my second grow my first was photos and did not go well. I also only really have access to Lowe's and Home Depot as well as a nearby nursery for supplies so I was wondering if I could get some assistance with what would be the best soil options and if that idea with the layering would be good? i will be watering with non phd well water.

hi RegularJoe, good luck with your grow mate ! Royal Queen seeds must be good always like their write ups, very helpful site. I'm subbed in for your journey. Less is best maybe is good with nutes, from past mistakes of mine.

I caught on to the Top Tao Auto Regular deal on Seedsman! I bought a Top Tao 6pck of auto reg mix for $25 and got 5 auto reg mix pack for free! I didn't look at all the strains but heres a couple of them I remember came with the purchase

The Royal Dwarf grow will continue however I decided to use Miracle Gro All Purpose (blue crystals) for this first auto grow for financial and convenience issues. The Taos I will be doing later this summer organically may even possibly breed seeds.

Good luck Joe. Its always good to look for cheaper ways to feed the girls, the Canna range isnt that cheap, I only use the bloom, and use regular for vege.
