Harvest & Curing Sampling for harvest

Which ways do you guys dry to sample a bud to make sure it's where you want for harvest? I have not got around to purchasing a nice vaporizer yet so I have to dry it then smoke in bowl or joint to test high.... Any recommendations and how long does it take? It's 2pm now and is like to sample it dry at about 10pm tonight.... Know it won't b perfect.... Just trying to get idea of the high.

I do it in the microwave. Set microwave to 40% power place bud on paper towel run no longer then 20 seconds flip it let cool for 20 seconds then repeat untill dry.


Make sure you let it cool if the plate gets to hot it will burn your bud. Altogether it takes about 5 mins.

Yea I've done this many a times lol or drying in the oven on low heat works well too, Im just about to start flush so I think it's about time to sample. About 50/50 on hairs maybe a Lil more white...

Take just enough to sample. I take from the side near the bottom of a main bud. I figure that's the middle ground. The ones above it may be more developed and the ones below may be less developed. I did this on my last grow although it was a pain when I harvested I kept them separate. Jars for the top/main buds and jars for the lower buds ( Not counting the popcorn buds). After they were dried they gave me two different highs now that they have cured over a month they are pretty much the same. I can't tell the difference. This is my reasoning for where I take a sample from.

I went with the same middle ground approach but I may have a couple samples well see.

I said screw it and chopped a wet bud that weighed 9.86 grams and slow dried it in the oven on its lowest temperature with the door slightly cracked. .... loved the high from the sample. ...I'm cleansing for harvest as we speak. Chop down my very first girl ever of my own on Monday pretty excited happy farming and enjoy your sample(s) @spanny and welcome to AFN brotha!!!!!

Ive gone with the microwave. MY girl is very very impatient and when she is out of smoke if I find one thats good ill give it to her.
I also harvest the main sometimes to send all the energy to the rest of the buds. Just did it to my rota strain and a few days later I can tell the rest of the plant put on massive weight. Depends on strain maybe too. I'm not sure only tried it a few times and it works well each time.

I'll have to try that as is been recommended before. Haven't had to cross that bridge yet as everything is developing well. Just harvested a 520 gram wet thc bomb auto. First girl I've ever grown in my life. Waiting for 3 more to finish up for me. Microwave works good on the fly lol

Im close to harvesting one myself. They look pretty damn good!
