I am curious what folks who are up on it use as side lighting? This came up in another post recently, and it’s something I have considered but never acted on.

@Talonxracer
What are you using for your side lighting?
Those strips you made you desktop grow light out of seem pretty ideal.

I am still using my trusty old SunSystem 315 CMH in a 3ft x 3ft tent. If I could add a little strip of led lights in the corners of the tent, without adding too much heat, it just might give my lower and side branches the boost they need.

Those lights on my desktop grow, the Evo mint ones, came from Germany. CreScience.com

You can find Samsung Sunboards on ebay, and several other places like here https://growdaddyleds.com

A good friend of mine had a grow going and it had alot of height to them and I made up 4 Sunboards with heatsinks and a meanwell hlg driver outside the tent. It worked fine for him and he was also surprised at how many buds were so well developed down lower.

This is just the info I was looking for, thanks!

I spent some time on both of those websites. I had no idea that with some extruded aluminum or some angle brackets you could so easily get all the components to make an entire light.

I think the Samsung lm301h on growdaddy are pretty much the best ones on the market direct from Samsung. The best light MarsHydro makes is still using the lm301b.

After getting pumped up on growdaddy I headed over to Crescience, and holy shit leave it to the Germans. Those Evo mint multi spectrum chip boards are amazing! I am thinking about using them for my side lighting experiment.

What was ordering from them like? With the dollar trading so strong against the euro right now seems like a good time to order something from Europe.

Shipping was the only pitfall, lol but even across the USA it isn't cheap these days. I think it was something like 50$ shipping, and that is flat rate. CreScience is a great company to deal with. And you can see why I am using those Enhanced strips, they would be great as side lighting!

Here is another German company I have dealt with, https://www.led-tech.de
