Sigh. Root aphids found.

I posted most recently in the MegaCrop thread, but now I think I’ve identified my plants’ problems - root aphids. I spotted some little guys moving around in my autopot pots, and grabbed a pic. I’m running 2 CDLC’s in soil and Megacrop right now. About 3 weeks from harvest.

I assume the left plant has to go tomorrow, if not tonight. Lots of impacted leaves with myriad spotting on them. The right plant however still looks fine, although I’ve spotted a few bugs in its pot too.

Am I correct that I should 86 the left plant, and can the “healthier” plant be managed with beneficial nematodes? Or should I just trash both and super clean everything? Any advice is appreciated!

If you have a root insect problem (I don't think so) treat it with spinosad and Botanicare HydroGuard.

I was just reading up on the Hydroguard. Is that safe to add to the autopot reservoir, or just directly to the plants' pots?

And did you mean you don't think I have a root insect problem? I definitely hope that's the case but seeing the little guy in that pic, along with a couple more last night, gave me the shits. I'm getting some Hydroguard and spinosad regardless. Fuck.

I use Hydroguard in my reservoir without any problems.
