Hey guys, question about the amount of sunlight ill be getting in ireland during april its 14/15 hours may is 15/16 hours of sunlight and obviously with photoperiods they need a certain amount of sunlight to induce flowering so just wondering if anyone in the uk or ireland have had experience with this???

Im not in the uk but im in northern usa at 43° north and generally most strains will bloom late july early august as the total amount af daylight comes closer to 14 hours of total daylight this only applies with photo's tho. I hope this helps a little indoor growers switch to 12/12 however most hybrid strains will bloom at 14/10.

Your photoperiod plants should start flowering in august, if they dont they wont finish. Some strains react better to the reduction of light earlier and these are the ones you to look out for. Im afraid its trail and error, fresian dew and sensis earlyskunk are the best ive tried, you might get lucky with the weather or temps in sept or you can concerntrate on the autos and just do a little experiment with the photos?

Strains i have grown that finished 100% at 43° north in the north west usa are...

Dinafem Blue widow all finished at the beginning of october with 8+ potency and a respectable yeild.

Sagarmarga early riser very consistant plants of a large yeild, finished completely here at sept 20th, good potency 7.5 with a happy sativa high and great outdoor bag appeal of lime green crystaly buds.

Next generation texada timewarp, my best yeilding outdoor strain 1 pound + of lemony smelling buds of a good all around buzz id give potency a 7, plants very consistant with great mold resistance finished early october at the latest here.

Guerilla gold 3 from rcmc is a very early plant (early september) that yeilds 4-6 zips started in may but mold resistance sucks the taste hashy and imo the best phonos potency is only at a 6 other than that its a good solid early strain guaranteed harvest for those closer to 50° north im kinda harsh on potency as im a heavy smoker.

I have been growing outdoors for about ten years now and the first three i grow every year they are my staple strains, i mention the gg3 because i feel everyone should try it if they are way up north, its a good base breeding plant crossed to early riser it increased potency and bag appeal, yeild as gg3 buds are dense, and finished sep 15 at latest with little mold. Hope this helps a few northern growers!

I am in western Washington. Cold Rain in September. I grew Frisian Dew and A.M.S last year (2015) they did well but the cold wet weather halted growth during flower and lost some to mold. I wanted to try a bunch of Texada Timewarp (BC Bud Depot) and Timewarp (next generation seed) but don't know too much about them. They look pretty spindly (thin stems) and flowers airy. Have You tried Frisian Dew or A.M.S? Can you compare them? Do You recommend Timewarp or TT?

Thanks for that! I'm just south of Texada Island so I'm looking forward to it. Do You sex the seedlings before you put them out?

Honestly I would avoid BCbud depot from what Ive seen. I ran BCBD God bud and Jack Herer. The Jack didn't even preflower at sept 1st, and 2 years of growing a God Bud produced potent, but hay tasting and was mold prone. So I am located at the 45th parallel with very early winter onsets around oct 20th.(snow or at least frost by then) Strains that I have had success growing:
Dutch Passion Blueberry (three years running with excellent smoke and insane yields, all 3 years plant was done on Oct 1st)
Dutch Passion Frisian Dew (first plant last season...went great nice piney flavour, minimal mold and sept 20th finish, nice 3lb+ yield)
Peak Seeds Texada Skunk (sept 21 - oct 1st finish...taste usually steps over to the skunk side...very, very potent. Nice yields and extremely mold resistant in daily dew with no sun till noon conditions)
DNA Kosher Kush (Oct 1st finish, Extremely potent, Ran two years)
BC Seed King Mango (Amazing flavour on every one of the 7-8 plants I grew. Nice yields. Mid September finish, one went till oct 1st. Not super mold resistant but usually finished before the shit weather starts. Nice surprising(for an indica) uplifting buzz.

Oh..my friend @StickMan is in your area and will have some excellent strain suggestions for you. As for the timewarpXskunk from Peakseeds I grew out, I was very impressed by bud density. Very tight buds. Even though I only get 8 hours of direct sun at preflower dwindling down to 6 by harvest, I still managed to pull 4-6z's of nice dense tops off every one of the Texada Skunks. Only one of the 7-8 I grew out had the Texada Flavour and not the skunk though. Ive read great things about the other Texada crosses at peak. I could see myself going for TexadaXNorthern Lights. And peaks prices cannot be beat anywhere.
