For growers that have used both organic and synthetic nutes, witch one do you think produces the best overall plant? Also what brand do you think works the best.:smoke:

Nammy this debate will go on forever . "Ha ha ha ha ha.." My "My 2 cents" is synthetics will yield a little more but organic will have a better taste and smell. Are you gong to go all out organic or just use an organic nute Nam

I have been using Gen Org now for about a year and think it is pretty good. When I first started growing I was using miracle gro and it seemed to work ok but I had some ph problems so I went to organics.I was thinking of comparing both types on my next grow using the liguid chem nutes and organic nutes.

I always start organic, both with pot and in my garden. I use lots of lobster compost
(there are many good types of compost, but lobster compost sounds wonderfully snooty,
yes, even my dirt has class)

But I don't hesitate to use something synthetic if I need to.

Frankly, I love the super compost recipes, but growing one plant
at a time, it's not really practical. So I think I will add more compost
in the future, but keep using some synthetic to keep growth rate near
the max.

I will sub up for that test Nam. Something has been working more than ok for you I see those big trees you been growing .

I like the idea and theory behind organics. I think I will lean that way but I need to get a few successful grows under my belt first. So for now anything that works is what I use!

I've always used Miracal gro.
I Love it!
Just follow directions on the box.

Chem Nutes are very fast acting an cheep an effective.
Almost all our world food is grown with chem NPK

Good read. What she says is very true. Most of what is sold is all based on marketing. Look at the gluten free craze. The only people that need gluten free are those that suffer from coeliac disease. But someone decided it was healthy... And boom a marketing miracle was born. Ever look at the sugar/carb conent of fat free, yow!
Anyways I digress. To me organic is more of a mindset and a discipline and that is what makes it an interesting avenue to explore.
