Indoor Teetee does some Sawney Beans and some Dutch Passion classics

Grow 3 - Better late than never
Hey, back for my first grow this year... we had so much bud to go through, I tried as hard as I could to smoke it all and now finally, supplies are running low.

It was a blistering hot summer, and growing here in the Tropics is really difficult, so finally things have cooled down now and we are in the middle of 'winter'. Conditions are more favorable for a grow.
We had a rental inspection, about a month ago, so I made sure I had a few seedlings on the go for a week or so beforehand (growing in a cardboard box with a 100W LED and no ventilation) then as soon as the inspection was done, I put up the tent and set everything up again.

I planted 3 Sawney beans on July 1st..... Hellraiser, Samsquanch OG and LSD..... they popped up on the 4th and 5th July. I started them in solo cups and repotted them into 23L airpots on their day 11 (day 16 for Samsquanch).
Coco substrate and House and Garden nutes.
I usually grow 4 plants, but I kept a space free cos I knew that Sawney was sending me some more beans.

The new beans arrived on the 18th July.... what a choice I had to make.... Wedding Cake, Facehugger and something I've been looking for over 30 years.... Bubblegum!!! Thank you Sawney, that has made my decade. :worship:

Seeing that the others were already 3 weeks into their grow, I decided on Facehugger as Sawney reckons it is a quick flowering strain, and I'm hoping she'll catch up with the others. I planted one Facehugger on the 20th July and she popped up on the 24th.

Today it's day 32 for the Hellraiser, Samsquanch and LSD, and day 13 for the Facehugger, and here they are....

Starting with LSD, she is huge.... over 80cm already, and she's just starting to flower. She's got great structure, and all the long stems are getting plenty of light, but I might stake her out a bit to maximise things.
Day 32 LSD.JPG

Hellraiser is very much into flowering mode. She's also got great structure, but is a bit shorter at 60+cm....
Day 32 Hell 1.JPG

Here's her main cola.... I think she's going to be a real fast one.... don't forget, it's only day 32
Day 32 Hell 2.JPG

Samsquanch had a difficult first couple of weeks, probably because I pissed around with the new seedling too much... I pulled off the seed casing in an attempt to get her to hurry the fuck up.
She's now doing very well, but is a bit shorter at 38cm and is a lot more squat and bushy than the others. I reckon she will continue to pick up and perhaps go a bit longer than the first two.
There's lots of tops showing, and I'm leaf tucking to keep on exposing them in time for the imminent stretch. Here she is...
Day 32 Sam.JPG

Yep, there's the Facehugger pot just there at the bottom of the pic.... I transferred her from the Solo cup into a 20L airpot today. Here she is....
Day 13 Face.JPG

So there we go, Teetee's back!!!
Thanks for taking a peek, I hope you pop back again to see how things progress.

Day 38 - a mixed bag
Hey, thanks for checking my grow, it's day 38 for the Samsquanch, Hellraiser and LSD, and day 19 for the Facehugger.

Here they are as a group...
day 38 group.JPG

The LSD is the tallest there back left, back right is the Samsquanch, front right is Hellraiser and the little Fagehugger is there front left.
You can see the 3x Skyline 400's all at different heights over the smaller plants. The LSD has a Skyline 800 unit all for herself (basically 2x 400 units bolted together).
I also have a Skyline 100 at the back so that I can switch the main lights off and have the 100 on to feed them without alerting the neighbourhood to my antics.

Facehugger is only 19 days and settling in well to her 20L airpot...
Day 19 Face 1.JPG

She's pretty squat with fat leaves, so I'm hoping she'll stretch a bit and give those new lower shoots a bit of light...
Day 19 Face 2.JPG

Samsquanch was a bit on the bushy side last week, so inspired by @hope2grow 's recent activity, I decided to pull out and tie down the lower stems to bring some light in to the depths, and maximise her potential. She's 58cm tall.
day 38 Sam 2.JPG

From above that's really opened her up...
day 38 Sam 1.JPG

I think I got there just in time, as she is doing a little stretch and just starting to flower. I'm probably gonna have to remove some leaves and any internal straggly buds soon. If anyone's got any ideas as to how much I'd be keen to hear. I like to keep leaves on for as long as possible as I believe the plant uses them as fuel to grow and build buds. Problem with me is I start off cautiously and end up removing too many.
day 38 Sam 3.JPG

LSD is a monster at 128cm...
day 38 LSD 2.JPG

She could also do with some lower leaf trimming. Some of those fans are HUGE.
Here she is with lights off...
day 38 LSD 1.JPG

A bit closer you can see that she's a good week into flowering, so I think we've got another fast strain on our hands....
day 38 LSD 3.JPG

Talking of fast strains, Hellraiser is racing away...
day 38 Hell 1.JPG

She's got lovely structure and some good height to her at 86cm. I pulled my finger out last week and staked her out...
day 38 Hell 2.JPG

Here's the main cola. I figure she's only got another 3-4 weeks left on her, so I started a 5 day course of PK13/14 yesterday (day 39)....
day 38 Hell 3.JPG

See you next week!

Day 58 - two are nearly done
Hey, sorry it's been so long.... we've had a bit of a move around at home and I don't have as much access to my computer to edit photos and post to my thread, grrrr.

Anyway, it is officially day 72 today but lots has happened since my last post on day 38.

Here they all are as a group on day 58....
Day 58 Group 1.JPG

Fachugger front left with the huge LSD behind her. Hellraiser front right with Samsquanch OG behind.

It's hard to see the Samsquanch because of the very mature Hellraiser in front of her, so heres a different angle to show the big three.....
Day 58 Group 2.JPG

But it's all about the Hellraiser and those thick long stems of bud, and that massive LSD with branches bowing out with the weight of her nuggets.

Hellraiser first, here she is on day 54...
Day 54 Hell 1.JPG

Nice buds forming all the way through. Here's her main cola....
Day 54 Hell 2.JPG

Here she is again on day 58....
Day 58 Hell 1.JPG

From above...
Day 58 Hell 2.JPG

And some close ups...
Day 58 Hell 3.JPG

Nice and sticky...
Day 58 Hell 4.JPG

All cloudy trichs with a few ambers showing through.... she's very close to being done.
Day 58 Hell 5.JPG

LSD??? well here she is on day 58....
Day 58 LSD 04.JPG

She is a whopper and grew very close to the lights so her cola tip got a bit cooked, but all in all a very nice result, thick clumps of bud all over her.
Day 58 LSD 05.JPG

Here's a closer look at some....
Day 58 LSD 08.JPG

Day 58 LSD 09.JPG

I didn't want a repeat of my last grows where the best colas got hit by mould, so I stopped feeding them on day 61 to dry them out a bit and keep the humidity down, and on day 64 I chopped the LSD and on day 65 I chopped the Hellraiser.
They're both hanging in boxes after a good manicure. I had to scrape the hash off the clipper blades after every stem!
No mould (so far), and I produced two nice marble sized balls of scissor hash. The Hellraiser was quite fruity and the LSD was really skunky... took me right back to the Amsterdam days!

So that's two down and two to go. I'll show you how they are doing in a minute....

Day 72 - Samsquanch catch up
Welcome back... here's the Samsquanch OG on day 58...
Day 58 Sam 3.JPG

She was kind of squeezed in there at the back, overshadowed by the huge LSD and the chunky Hellraiser.
Now that theyre both done, the Samsquanch has much more space to spread out.
Here she was yesterday on day 71...
Day 71 Sam 1.JPG

From above, you can see she's got girth...
Day 71 Sam 2.JPG

Her main cola is coming on well, and she has plenty of nice long stems...
Day 71 Sam 3.JPG

She's pretty close to being done now, so here's some close ups...
Day 71 Sam 4.JPG

Day 71 Sam 5.JPG

Day 71 Sam 6.JPG

Day 71 Sam 7.JPG

Day 71 Sam 9.JPG

I'll try to keep her going till day 76, Thursday night , making it a full 3 weeks since finishing PK13/14, plus I can stay up that night to do the chop cos I'm off on Friday!

Gonna have a smoke, then I'll update you on the Facehugger....

Day 71 but it's day 52 for the Facehugger
Thanks to @Sawney_bean for the eleventh hour (19th day, actually) delivery of the new Facehugger beans... that's why this grow is at day 71, and the Facehugger is on day 52.

Let's go all the way back to her on day 35...
Day 35 Face.JPG

Not looking bad at all, perhaps a bit small for 5 weeks, but Sawney did say she was a fast flowerer.
She always had a hard time finding any space in the tent to grow, but she managed, here on day 39.....
Day 58 Group 1.JPG

Here again, on her own, day 39....
Day 39 Face 1.JPG

I had put a few stakes in to pull her out a bit...
Day 39 Face 2.JPG

I could see early signs of flowering...
Day 39 Face 3.JPG

Now that it's just her and the Samsquanch,. she also has room to spread out.
Here she was yesterday on day 52...
Day 52 Face 1.JPG

She hasn't stretched that much, but from above you can see she has plenty of bud sites...
Day 52 Face 2.JPG

Her main cola is doing well....
Day 52 Face 3.JPG

and her side branches are frosting up too...
Day 52 Face 4.JPG

She's on PK 13/14 for another couple of days, then it will be 3 weeks to the finishing line... something like day 73 -75, maybe sooner.

Thanks for catching up with the last 3 posts... I'll try and keep updating more often......

Day 80 - Just one left
Thanks Guys for the lovely comments.

I've got the Hellraiser and LSD in Grovebags at 62% RH. We've smoked plenty of both, and are very happy with the results. Both are really strong, and have amazing tastes.
I'm gonna see what they're like after a couple of weeks in the Grovebags but the LSD started off really skunky, but now has a rich sweet and sour blanket to the taste as well, and the Hellraiser is very sweety/fruity and a dieselly aftertaste.... I'm loving them!
I have 6 ounces of both of them left, and I've probably had about 2 ounces of LSD, and 1.5 ounces of Hellraiser already, so in total about 8oz and 7.5oz respectively.
And it's all solid sticky bud.

The Samsquanch OG came down on Friday (day 77), and is drying in boxes. There's quite a bit, and Im expecting something between 8-10 ounces.
I'll keep you posted on that.....

So all I have left is Facehugger, on day 61. She is looking just lovely....
Day 61 Face 1.JPG

That's the narrow view... she's a lot wider, and although she's fairly short, she has plenty of good bud on her...
Day 61 Face 2.JPG

Here's the main cola and her friends...
Day 61 Face 3.JPG

There's a lot of substance in there...
Day 61 Face 4.JPG

And it's all looking very sparkly....
Day 61 Face 5.JPG

Day 61 Face 6.JPG

Day 61 Face 7.JPG

Day 61 Face 8.JPG

I'm gonna give her another 10 days or so.....
Cheers for popping in!

Grow 4 - Don't drink the Kool Aid, have some Bubblegum instead.
The rental inspection is out of the way, and it's time to get this grow on! :joy:

I had planted the seeds on 21st Oct, a couple of weeks before the inspection. The Auto Strawberry Soda popped first on the 25th, followed by Jonestown and then Blue Amnesia, but the Bubblegum didn't.
I had a dig around and the seed was intact, so I replanted it with another seed, just in case.... 3 days later and another dig revealed no action from either seed, so I planted a 3rd seed on the 29th, which DID pop on the 1st! 7 days behind the others.
I'm glad you gave me a few extra Bubblegum beans @Sawney_bean :pighug:
Projected harvest time will be in the first few weeks of January when it will be absolutely sweltering. Can't wait :hothot:

I had the seedlings in the tent, so on day 10, I had to dismantle everything before she came to inspect, keeping the seedlings out of sight, then put the kit back up again as soon as she pissed off.
I reckon they were down for about 4 hours, so no major harm done.

On day 12, my ASS was looking huge, as you can see...
Day 12 Group 2.JPG

There she is back right, with Jonestown back left, Blue Amnesia front centre and the baby Bubblegum on the far left.

Here they are from above... look at that ASS.
Day 12 Group 1.JPG

I repotted her into a 23L airpot. Have a look at my ASS now....
Day 12 ASS .JPG

Oh, and I repotted Jonestown too.
Day 12 JT .JPG

I'm hoping Jonestown is gonna be killer gear.

Blue Amnesia is looking a bit rough, I suspect she wants a stronger feed, but she'll have to wait. Instead I'm feeding her a bit more volume of feed to flush out any pH issues, and that seems to be doing the trick.
I'll give her a few more days until I repot her.

The Bubblegum's on day 5, and looking fine.... here they are together...
Day 12 Group 3.JPG

All the grow shops have been going on about this Organic Living Soil, and I'm thinking about giving it a try. @Antonio_DutchPassion what do you think about this stuff....
easy as organics.png

It was co-developed with KiS Organics – alleged leaders in data-driven living soil science, and contains sphagnum peat moss, perlite, lava rock (scoria), certified organic horticultural grade compost, walnut shell biochar, ag lime, gypsum, fish bone meal, neem seed meal, soybean meal, colloidal soft rock phosphate, potassium sulphate, magnesium sulphate, multi-strain bacillus spp. Inoculant, trace element sulphates.

Here's some blurb, and it makes some hefty claims. I've bold texted the highlights....

Performance in trials has been exceptional, with seedling and cutting growth rates comparable to advanced hydroponic systems. Yet unlike hydroponics, this living soil mix sustains itself with an internal bank of slow-release nutrients and active biology, allowing crops to thrive with minimal nutrient supplementation. The addition of a multi-strain bacillus spp. consortium at batching accelerates early nutrient mineralisation, especially the transformation of ammonium into plant-available nitrate. This supports rapid root development and strong vegetative establishment. Over time, the soil food web continues to cycle nutrients, making it suitable for long-season and multi-cycle cropping in large containers or raised beds.

As this soil matures, growers will observe a rich ecosystem of microorganisms, fungi, and beneficial insects. These organisms form an active soil food web that releases nutrients in plant-available forms, stimulates plant growth and helps to outcompete pathogenic organisms. The ecological balance within the mix contributes to plant resilience, flavour complexity, and the expression of natural plant chemistry such as terpenes.

By design, this soil supports water-only cultivation when used in appropriately sized containers, reducing reliance on bottled fertilisers and synthetic additives. Nutrient-hungry fruiting crops thrive in this system under correct irrigation and environmental conditions. With light re-amendment between cycles, the mix can be reused over and over again, making it both an economically and environmentally sustainable solution for serious growers.

I've never heard of beneficial insects! WTF!!!
The host website advises to plant seedlings in damp soil, cover with a layer of organic straw mulch and avoid overwatering by aiming for soil that is evenly moist with no runoff. That's gonna be going against everything I do with Coco..... but might be worth a shot.
Maybe @hecno or @WildBill might also have an opinion on this product?

I'd love to try Biotabs, but they aren't sold in Aus, and I don't think it would be easy getting it shipped over from the EU. Maybe you might 'think different' Antonio.

So that's it then for this week. Thanks for taking a peep, and I look forward to more ASSing around next time.

Day 38 - some flowering and some difficulties.... New
Wow, the days are just hammering by, eh? It's day 38.

I'm sure you've all been dying to see my ASS, so here it is in all it's glory.....
Day 38 ASS 1.JPG

My ASS is looking good, no???

If you look closely you can see that I have spread out my ASS.
Here's a birdseye view of my ASS so you can see how much I have opened it....
Day 38 ASS 2.JPG

Generally my ASS is in great condition and getting bigger by the day. She's been flowering for about a week.

Jonestown is almost as big as my ASS, and is also in early flower, so I thought it was time to stake her out too....
Day 38 JT 1.JPG

She's also looking great. Here she is from above...
Day 38 JT 2.JPG

I'm hoping I've staked them out in time, I'd like to see these two girls go through a good stretch and fill out with some nice bud.

Blue Amnesia has always been a fussy plant. From the outset, she has grown yellow leaves that gradually green up as she grows. The bigger fan leaves were blotchy and I've just snipped them off.
Day 38 BA.JPG

I checked the run off EC and that's looking fine (0.5 EC lower than my input feed), so I upped the feed a touch and increased the Cal Mag too. She's been on that for a week, and she's still putting out new yellow leaves and giving a low EC run off.
She's not drinking much either... I put in about 4.5 -5L before seeing run off, while JT takes 6-7L a day and my ASS can take even more than that.

I'll finish off with Bubblegum, a week younger than the rest, on day 31...
Day 31 Bubb 1.JPG

She's very short, and very bushy, so I gave her a bit of a clear out inside.
She has also been a funny one from day 1... crinkly mutant leaves with the first few nodes, then her main stem started to bifurcate, like she'd been topped....
Day 31 Bubb 3.JPG

....so I trained her two heads out to either side - kinda like @hope2grow but without the finesse, and this is what she looks like from above....
Day 31 Bubb 2.JPG

The main stems have been bent out to 3 o clock and 9 o clock.
There's a lot going on with her but she's looking nice and healthy, and I'm hoping she'll stretch out a bit so I can do some training and get the most out of her in the end.

It's getting damn hot in there.... I just went down to see just how hot, and it's a staggering 36°C (97°F) in there and it's 4pm.
I'm getting paid tomorrow and I'll get that AC Infinity Temp / RH / VPD meter.... that will be a right laugh.

Anyway, enough for this update, thanks for looking in!
