so in light of 90% of my rig is here ive decided on wing it and get started while the rest is on the way.

my Rig So far ive dubbed "Amateur done right"......hopefully

space: GGT 2x4x7+ tent


Lights: GN 004x2

Soil: Root organic soiless mix (amended) with Scotts prem top soil as a filler.
really didnt like how jam packed with perlite it was so 2-1 roots to TS. + i needed a filler. 2$ vs 33$!!!

after amending with the top soil mix ratio 2-1 ro to ts



pots: 3x5 gal smart pot, + small trial one or two

Nutes: R.O. Buddha Bloom and Trinity (figured keep it simple stupid)

seeds: 2 Nirvana BM auto-1 germ:check:, 1 straight to soil
2-Bubblicious auto- 1 germ, 1 waiting
2-Mystery Mids-bag seed , 2germ

Hey there Space Pope. Glad to see you getting started. Looks like you've thought it out pretty good. Pics can be seen only in small view as far as I know from non members. We are indeed a safe site. Servers are in Amsterdam, so getting to that here in the States, assuming that's where you are.

Germ phase

got it thanks you guys pics are up as well as this weeks update

2 Blue mystics really suprised me 1st of all i used the water method of germination, which you just drop them in water and wait, heard much higher succuess rate then paper towel method right away,attached photos

BM: total water time before pop 36hour marker, with nice 1/4 root ready for paper towel, i started with 1 early just cuz its was ridiculously small it looked more like a flake then a seed( didnt think itd take) and i wanted to test the h2o germ, and shes going strong

(1 tiny, 1 monster)100%

BB: monster size seeds,is taking the full max 72hr water time before it just cracked and barely popping out

Mys (med size)> just under 72 hours for both mystery seeds 100%



so far 100% which is so bitter sweet since i was only planning on 3......

already had my first crash on course :no:, my tester pot got knocked over in the tent, right as leaves were about to pop soil , so i had to try and plot it in a starter pot and see if it retakes,

while the others finish germ-ing,
48ish hr in Paper towel
not much progress on BB still barely pop`d seed maybe 1mm or 1/16th? out of seed gonna wait till tom night and see
*1 straight to 5 gal pot 1 straight to starter to compare. latest 36hr and it goes in dirt regardless

1- BM germ is already out by about 1/4in or 5mm? so tom night it should be ready for the 5 gal.

and their in soil now, tester BM already has 2 leafs out if there`s enough interest ill post more frequent updates with pics, =( only 4 posts and on pg 4+ already)

she took about a 1m or 3ft fall to the ground but shes coming back =) (Knock on wood)

anyone tell me what a brown spot on the root of a germ seed means? 2 had it so that why i moved'em Just in case

update: might have to scrap this soil and start from a new mix, i may has messed a lil to much with it (dam chronic insomnia). but deff. not buying the Soil-less from R.O. again!

btw: anyone tell me the day APPROX that these seeds are supposed to pop ground? after dropping em in. after 2 days under 18/6 .only have one up my early tester in a jiffy starter but shes going pretty good, height and small leaf mass building by the hour almost!!!

which is funny cuz thats the one that took the 1 meter fall straight to the ground for a few hours, and had to re-pot in jiffy hehehe no pun intended.

hoping i dont have to scrap all the soil, and these things pop soil in the next light cycle or i at last see leaf. so i know!!! what to do!!

Did you soak or paper towel them before planting? They can take anywhere from 2-7 days IMO. I don't soak or anything. Dry bean straight to soil, like nature.

yeah read the earlier posts, both BM have popd soil (the one that fell 3ft, and str8 to 5gal pop`d last night:booya
both bub and mystery seeds are no where to be found but both had to take max time in the soak aswell as the paper towel, wondering if i got some Old Bub Seeds?
building doubt this will be 8 weeks at this pace, the blues however
even the one that fell 3ft straight to the floor:jaw: and got exposed to direct 160w 3w GN LED light for a few hours(#?) before i caught it and re potted and still blasting off compared to BUBs (IDC about mystery mids bag seeds) was just for a control group and fun.

oh squid to answer your PM, my soil according to my soil probe is a hair under 7 (id say 6.8 or 9 ish)? ok?
