Hi all,

I've been a long-time student of AFN (a big thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way), and feel like I'm ready to begin making journals for myself. I am an Oregon resident and recreational/medicinal marijuana user. I will begin this journal during her flowering period and update as often as possible (~ every 5 days or so). Thanks for stopping by, I hope to learn a lot from this grow. All comments and criticisms welcome!

Background:
I have grown roughly 7 plants (1-2 at a time) since I've begun my cannabis growing ventures. My first 2 plants were grown in DWC, and while I felt the system worked very well, I have since moved to hempy buckets for their simplicity. I love training my plants in every way possible. Since this is an autoflower journal, I won't have used super-cropping or topping, but have continued to use LST (heavily) and selective defoliation. The defoliation is used to allow better airflow to the pant while opening it up (help stave off bud rot), as well as to open up bud sites which are being directly covered.

Looking awesome. If I could make some suggestion since you have the space.. I would tie down each branch slightly to open up the canopy to get as much light as possible in there.

Thanks guys!

I like your suggestion @MeefChief! I decided to tie down each branch to both open her up even more, while flattening out the entire canopy. I could have probably tied each branch down slightly more. But, due to the fear of a branch snapping, I'll open her up over time allowing her branches to adjust between trainings.

Currently feeding her at 950ppm (1L twice per day), pH = 5.8, height of LED = 12 inches above canopy.

Hey guys,

I know I've been updating a lot, but I feel I'd like to share some more of my training as it progresses. Also, any feedback would be appreciated. Today, I decided to open her up a lot more to aid in light penetration. Thanks for the rep @Hazy !

Day 56 (4/11/2016):

It appears everything in Oregon is blooming this time of year!

Decided to make a small change. I felt like the 400W LED (actual draw ~190W) wasn't adequately covering my girl. I had an old 600W HPS setup which I decided to switch too. I'd really like to see this Think Different swell a lot at the end of flowering. Hopefully the extra ~400W helps with that (without the extra heat becoming too much of an issue). Thanks @Gunner and @Bailey , I appreciate the comments!
