Indoor Tobe's test and breeding ground

Morning @tobe :bighug: ..you seen this idea...?...

Pollen pen......

I always said for covert breeding...don't share seed..share pollen.. pollen is not illegal... :pass: ...
Hi @Mossy
Yes I have seen it. I think pollen sharing or selling is risky. From my point of view I wouldn't buy pollen from source I don't know exactly for a longer time. The main problem would also be the lack of information about the male. The challenge to select the best male for a cross , is the most interesting and hardest challenge this is where you see the difference from chuckers to breeders.
This stuff is made for pollen chuckers not for breeder's.
I can highly recommend to grow your males yourself and if someone don't got access to regular seeds. At AFN are the top autoflower breeders so their will be a way to get them.

This is only my opinion.

Let's hear what the others say.

My side project
BlueCandy x 90'sBlues F1
I selected the best 4 males for the first backcross to the original BlueCandy. The girls from this run will be grown by one of my crew.
I also got in the male room a BigBudda Cheese girl and a Blue Zushi girl for a test cross because I wouldn't waste the rooted cuts.

Nice looking plants. How do you choose the male you want to keep and use? Anything in particular you look for?

Hi @Entombed
There are a few traits I am looking for when I select the males.
- grow structure ( side branches and internodes)
- flower structure ( the more dense the male flowers " better bud structure" in the offspring generation
- steam rup ( smell test)
- I check with my microscope the trichomes
- I test smoke the male flowers ( oldskool but I will do it like my grandfather has done;)

I give notes from 1 - 10, for each point i write it down with some other points I am looking for in my breeding runs and got a good overview in my selection.

I know there are different ways to chose, so that's how I select.

Tall ladies looking for a good time . Lol
Hi @Sawney_bean yeah I think a few days of sun are needed. The night temperature goes below 10C° . I am really happy with the tests of the BlueCandy cross . They looking solid and handles our northern Europe climate good.
I will definitely run them Indoors again and stress test them.
