Okay guys & gals,
Got my 2015 release Mephisto beans last night. My wife hadn't checked the mail when she came home
and I just had a hunch so I drove down to the mailbox clusters at the foot of the hills I live in and low
and behold!!! A reflection of Spain (and the UK
glowing in the box. I drove too fast getting back to
the house!
I have the Sweet Special, Ruby and the Blue Auto Mazar, Pebbles almost ready to head over to the
main tent so I told myself (maybe convinced myself) that I could just go ahead and drop two beans.
It then became a matter of WHICH two beans...a great dilemma to have, to be sure, but a difficult one.
After much deliberation, I decided on:
Sour Orange Diesel Kush x Ripley's OG & Toof Decay x Fantasmo Express
I really like the sound of these crosses and just couldn't decide on 2 strains
so I decided on 4...LOL! The SODK (which already is tempered with Triangle OG)
then gets an injection of Alien OG in the Ripley's and the Toof which is the most
Indi-dom of these 2015s get's more than a couple bumps from the Sativa heavy
mama of Fantastmo Express. Both just sound like real well thought-out crosses.
Okay - Medium/Set-up:
2 gal. airpot
75%
Happy Frog
20% Super Chunky Perlite
5% Regular Perlite
1 TSP per gallon Espoma Garden Lime
Liberal dashes of Great White Mycos
The first part of their development will be in an 18 x 30 x 36 Starter tent with:
1X 180W Apollo Horticulture LED UFO
1X 60W Apollo Horticulture CFL at 6500K Spectrum
Then they will move to a 24 x 48 x 60 finishing tent with:
2X 135W Apollo Horticulture LED UFOs
1X 300W Apollo Horticulture Reflector Series LED
1X 60W Apollo Horticulture CFL at 6500K Spectrum
I'll be feeding:
Primo RO water with supplemental minerals - bubbled
General Organics CaMg+
Organic Non-sulphured Molasses
General Hydroponics Armor Si
Big Bloom
Grow Big
Tiger Bloom
BD Boomerang
BD Kangaroots
BD Microbe Brew
Beastie Bloomz
Cha-Ching
GH pH UP & Down
Organic Agave Nectar (for the final cleanse)
Now usually I'd come up with some semi-witty graphic to depict the beginning of
the grow and the strains involved, but I, for the life of me, can not figure out how
to visually encapsulate so many themes with these long cross names so I'm just
going to get to it. Maybe I'll come up with something when I name them
