It's all about the Trichomes

The Apera is the best ph meter I've had and works great I bought that before I had a RO system and therefore had to ph down my tap water. Now that I have a RO filter the PH perfect technology actually works so I rarely use it anymore. I try not to follow anyone else's feed scedual bc every grow is diffrent and it might not work well for me like it did them and it forces me to learn and read what the plants are telling me. And 5 gallon pots are sometimes overkill with autos unless it's a super auto like ultra lemon haze that has a longer lifespan. I use 3 gallon smart pots and 3 gallon airpots. Although I do occasionally use a 5 gallon here and there.cocos not cheap so the 3 gallons save alot of money and from my experience perform same as 5 gallon pots. If you water daily and have a good perilite to coco ratio 3/4 To 1 gallon should more than suffice to get runoff. But this is not a guide like I said every grow is diffrent and you know what your grow needs better than me. This is just my thoughts is all.

It gets a little crowded sometimes. I always plant 25% more than I need it case something goes wrong with a couple plants but sometimes things go off without a hitch and I have to much. When that happens I got them together like a jigsaw puzzle lol. 3 liters is about right for 5 gallons I go 1 gallon waterings with 5 gallon pots. I'm in the process of washing and rinsing all my old coco and there's sooooo much it's taking me forever. I've done 27 gallons so far and I'm like half way done but it's gonna save me so much money over buying new coco it's worth it. I only plan on doing two to three runs in it then it's going in my soil pile in the back lawn for the outdoor plants come spring.I can't say I feel the 5 gal are overkill as even the smallest of autos I've done lately fill the entirety with roots, but I've seen people pulling far better results than mine with 3gal so I have to agree 5 gal isn't necessary. When I saw Tang growing with them a few years back I tried to duplicate his grow as closely as possible and haven't really experimented since. I wonder what effect moving the bottom of the pot up higher would have?
I will say that with the plants I have going over the past 6 weeks even the 5 gal might get some runoff soon. My 6 week plants are already taking 3L daily and my 4 week olds 2L. Not sure if it's all about watering the core first, or just better observation of the plants needs, but they're huge.
Beautiful snow capped mountain range pics as well. How the hell do you get them all in the tent?
