It could well be a competitor - I wouldn't like to think so, I think there's a big enough market for everyone to do their thing.

But maybe being paranoid it seems abit suspect before the big Black Friday, although we did get a re-post on a video by hightimes too that caught a lot of views so it may just be bored trolls, who knows and we'll never find out

Well HighTimes have got there own IG page that no one bats a eyelid about as well as many other big companies Leafly, Sweet Seeds, Greenhouse etc , looks more like someone wants to slow down the spread on the Mephisto name (lol like thats likely to happen, bit late now) , would say one of the big fish is getting scared and futily attempting to rule the pond.

But as you say will never know who and why for sure, but smells like fowl play for sure. To late now anyway the Mephisto name is here to stay and with the user base you have social media promotion wont be a problems, as it can be pushed on many platforms but multiple persons and aint no one stopping that, Twitter is a good place to start as censorship as good as nothing with only persecutions of minorities punished, and just about anything else goes including weed, tits and pussys lol

Hey mate, we've tried twitter but it seemed difficult to gain any traction with it.
Facebook isn't too bad, but for sure insta was proving the most popular.

Took me a while to gain some followers and even now am only up to a mighty lol 142 (mainly due to laziness), best way i found to get people to follow you is to first follow some of the big twitter names in the Cannabis scence with 10K+ followers, and then whenever you post pics tag them in the photo (not in the comment box as this uses up the text limit). Keep a eye out for the retweets of your posts from the big names you add and keep them in mind to tag next time, any that dont bother to retweet forget them and try some more, after a while you will have a good list of high rated twitter users that will spread your content amongst their 10K+ fans and you will find a good chunk of them will start to follow you to, also if you get a notification someone has followed you and you are not with them add them to increase your user base more.

@Spanglish To gain followers on IG is a little tough and easy at the same time. Upload great photos, use targeted hashtags on your photos. [HASHTAG]#weedstagram[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#highsociety[/HASHTAG] theres tons... Always target your likes to people in your niche, then when you get a like back; go like 4-6 of their pics and leave a comment. Usually you will get a follow for the most part and you wont have to follow back. Then whenever you upload a picture again all of the likes you get. Go do the same method again.

Also tagging people in photos you upload and targeting followers based on companies will help you gain followers as you said @Spanglish Your pictures / videos should speak for themselves on IG. Also if you do a shoutout for shoutout or pay for a shoutout you will grow quick too. Something to look into. Just remember to target your likes and followers in the niche and you'll see your progress take off.

Theres tons more methods to the madness yet the above are the easiest and quickest. I've built many accounts quick that have over 11k, 35k, 125k, 213k, 423k. Consistency is Key ;-)

Also use a password with a few capitals and replace your letters with numbers. For example Mephisto you could do something like [HASHTAG]#M3ph[/HASHTAG]!st0

It sucks to also get your account hacked and stolen when you have 100k+ followers; just wanted to share a few tips for everyone.

@mephisto I would stick to IG its where the niche hangs out and you can build massively quick as you have in the past. FB and Twitter are a little waste of time trying to build up now IMHO. You guys will bounce back very quick and Im sure you will have your old account back in no time.

Yeah IG is top draw when it comes to ease of use of gaining followers and is an amazing photo based social network.

But am not going to spend the time again gaining followers and adding content, just for them to pull the plug without even a warning and set me back to day one, even when posting well within their legal written guidelines for content allowed, this stinks of corporate discrimination on the most immoral level targeting the small guy to better big paying sponsors.

Although i love the innovation and ease of use IG offers i will for one never contribute to and browse the service again, Facebook is a big no no for me when it comes to canna content and is purely used personally to keep in touch with family and friends, Twitter will be my new home for now except for of course AFN due to the sensible censorship of user content removing only what is deserved (pedo stuff, violence to humans and animals and discriminatory/racial), i can no longer out my time and faith in uploading to a host like IG when they randomly remove content for whatever reason they see fit, or payout from sponsors that dont like what they see.
