Greetings all!

Hoping to start my first grow before Christmas!

So far I've purchased my light (300w led), tent (2x4x7), seeds and just waiting on them before I buy all the other items I need. I plan on growing in coco/pert mix in 5gal smart pots, but still have a ton of research to do before I officially start my first grow.

Anyone have suggestions for what nuts to use? So many different options and not sure on what would be a good brand to get.

I'm no longer a lurker!

Good luck with your grow! Glad you came out of the plant closet.

Hello and welcome to AFN. I do grow in plain coco and have used Advanced Nutrients Hansbricks/Tangs feed schedule but now I'm using Megacrop as my base nutrient.

Hello, I grow in coco, perlite, and soil equal parts. The addition of soil seemed to help with the deficiancies i ran into using straight coco but also now seems to be easier to over feed. I have used a wide range of nutes and for the most part I find it to be a personal preference. Similar results with most some more work than others. I know run organic dry amendments Growilla a line of nutes from botanicare. This is for my own convenience less time spent mixing and feeding. Anyway :welcome: Iam a fairly new member myself I have been around a few months. This is a great place for learning, sharing information and experiences. :goodluck:

@Rwg111 That's what I'm looking for, something simple to get me going. Though can't seem to find a supplier in Canada that carries that.

I've also been looking at veg+bloom, and might go with Maxibloom and get a few grows under my belt before changing things up.

Try looking for giea green veg n bloom. I believe the veg is a 4-4-4 and the bloom is a 2-8-4 pretty sure it is local to Canada not sure if I spelled it right but a very solid organic dry amendment
