A lot of good info!

Can you combine more than 1 address?

If your hard drive crashes but youve written your address down are you safe?

BTW how big is the initial sync for potcoin i dont want to eat my bandwidth up

Do I have to wait for the sync to receive? If so, you don't have to send any

realcarlos... are we good to go? Can I send you 100 POTs ?

I just bought over 37,000 potcoins :)

Bought them here, all you need in one site (minimum order £50) :

https://potwallet.com/

I bought them from a trader named logicpot, fast, easy and secure.

I then decided to investigate potcoin's performance to date, a bit stupid of me to buy the coins and then check their performance but hey-ho ...

All the details are here (excellent site), the exchange-rate hsitory is at the bottom (at least i've bought low!) :

Cheers Groff, excellent thread :)

All the best,

steely

Oh well done steely !! ;)

Mine still hasn't synced yet as I thought it was more than 700mb, I didn't want to kill bandwidth. So I stopped the process

Another question. is there a way to leave a comment/note for the person you're sending potcoin to?

Mine sync'd in about 8 hours. I can't seem to find any huge files. Tell me where to find it and I'll let you know how big it is.:Sharing One:

I haven't looked deep into Potcoin, but from what I see from the QT its the standard wallet with no added functionality. So , no, you can't. The software is open source, so anyone can very well write software over the Potcoin Blockchain to include that functionality (or more).

Just remember that even if it were possible, anyone would be able to read the message if they looked up that tx. So a 3rd party encryption service would be needed to keep the message secret

I didn't have any syncing to do Groff, is that because my wallet is online (not dekstop-based) ?

Cheers,

steely

How would someone confirm that they were the one that sent you potcoin/bitcoin? does it state which address it came from?

Yes, precisely. FYI Online wallets are a centralized servers and they handle the blockchain and your coins. Comfortable, but not the most secure option if it were big amount of money. Online services can be attacked, hacked and DDoS. It happens quite frequently to the best of them in Bitcoin.

Usually they attack big money holders first, because it rings the alarms and they must act quick.

Anyway, dont panic, just FYI.

Post your address! :Sharing One:
