Anyone getting excited to try the new MC formula?

Interesting as I have always used MC at every feeding without issue. Maybe its because I keep the ppms at a moderate range. In fact, as I recycle the soil, the soil never gets flushed and yet I've never had a salts buildup issue. This plant here is one of many in soil that has been used several times, and btw, is in a 1 gallon ( 4L ) pot

When do you start feeding?

I'm entering week 4 on my Mephisto plants today and just now starting to feed. I'm using biobizz light mix and MC 2 part. My plants look very healthy with 3 weeks no nutes. First time using this soil but plan to reuse it after I hit it with recharge

I reuse my soil, have for sometime now. I even have run pots where I just cut out the stump and transplant into to hole. 4 pots ran 2.5 years like that.

There shouldn't be any "salts" since MC is vegan, right?

Being animal-derived products free (vegan) has nothing to do with being salts-free. Most, if not nearly all, MegaCrop or any base nutrients are composed of water-soluble salts.

And ALL the main nutrients usable by a plant, are salts. A Salt is an ionic form of a compound. Microbes transform organic compounds into the exact same ionic form of say, K, as is in any manufactured nutrient. Organic nutrients are not "better", they are just harder to abuse.

Being animal-derived products free (vegan) has nothing to do with being salts-free. Most, if not nearly all, MegaCrop or any base nutrients are primarily composed of water-soluble salts. MegaCrop is claimed to contain only or primarily amino acid chelates (salts).

But what is wrong with a nutrient being non-vegan? Aren't cow, horse, bat, etc. excrement and compost; bone meal; and other "organic" nutrients non-vegan?

Nothing wrong with non-vegan. I just didn't think/know it has some salt based components.

And no, MC is not Vegan technically, although there are no animal byproducts in it so??? It's not organic either. It's like Jack's Classic with organically chelated micro nutrients, and added organic like kelp, etc. I call it a hybrid nutrient package. The best of both worlds.
