Welcome AFN!
For those who don't know me (everybody)
Just call me Aussie, and after a long time of not growing autos it's time to start up shop again!
I'm thinking of making this my one and only thread for autos, but we'll see what happenes.
So let's kick things off with a bang! Pun Intended, literally..

We're at week one day 5, happy with growth thus far, it's about hmm yay tall and this wide, it also has 4 leaves *two thumbs up*
But let's back track to the germ.

11/4 dropped into glass of water for 24hr soaking.
12/4 seed cracked, placed in paper towel.
13/4 hello tap root! Out of paper towel into jiffy cube.
14/4 I can see a cotyledon breaking the surface!
15/4 DAY ONE!! This must be wizardry!
17/4 planted into small 400ml bottle until ready for transplant.

That's the fastest germ I've had in the past 4 years of growing, the only thing I did differently was soaking the seed for 24hr, also germmed a photo seed that did it in the same amount of time.. so this is my new method from here on out.
Been misting once a day, with humility dome, temps are toasty @ 24-25 degrees (75-77F)
It's had a very easy life for its first week, besides the time I got to stoned, a blow fly went into my tent and I started being all ninja trying to get it out.. in the process I hit the table and knocked off two seedlings, I managed to catch the photo seedling mid air, almost had the THC bomb but those butter fingers kicked in, no real damage, the roots were only just poking outta the cube so I'm praying to the old gods and the new, the many faced god and the god of light that my fuck up did not stunt and stress this beautiful stick with 4 leaves.

Sorry for the lengthy intro but you'll get over it.
Photos to come in the next post

Week three, day three.
Well it's safe to say I totally fucked this grow already, at the start of week three I noticed a few bugs under the leaves so, being late for work I rushed in and sprayed some bug killer, while the light was still on! Well didn't I come home to the saddest looking plant I've seen to date, the water drops must of magnified the light and burnt the leaves, doesn't even look like a weed plant.. looking more like a basil plant currently haha, still no growth 3 days in, so I'm not gonna expect much from her, I'll be happy with an ounce.
Photos will be posted in the following hours.

Photos as promised.

So like my new genome I've discovered? I'm calling it basdica, like basil, and indica..
Anyway if I had any auto seeds what so ever I'd start again, but I don't so I'm just sucking up my loss till my seed order comes in 2 weeks
2x blue kush
2x LSD25
2x glueberry OG
whoop! Can't wait!
But I've been talking to a mate that lives 6 hours away, if I haven't seen new growth by Monday morning his kindly sending me a UK cheese auto, breeder is unknown unfortunately, but I do know atleast 3 different breeders that have they own versions, so who knows witch one I could end up with.
Maybe it isn't my time to try THC bomb, first seed failed to germinate and now this:shrug:

So yesterday, day 29? I thought fuck maybe I'll try something and topped the little shit, pulled a few fan leaves, and pulled her over, I'm hoping if I'm not getting any new growth out the top, the side branches will shoot up and atleast give me a few grams, I might just keep it to see what happens as a joke and start a new seed in a few days, she's got another 18hr light cycle to show me what's she's got if not it's going in the corner and I'm forgetting about it.

aww mate thats unlucky like. i was giving mine a foliars of calmag at one point, without knowing not to do it when the lights on. thankfully got away with it every time. what bug spray were you using? it might be more to do with whats in it. used to be a pest controller so im good with insecticides and now quite interested on their effects on plants as i never dealt with the agricultural side of it.

Yeah I knew not to do it when the lights are on, normally I'd wait till nights out but I didn't want the bugs to get outta hand and I had to leave for work, lesson learnt though! I'm at work now bro but I will take a photo of the bottle for you in the morning, hopefully you can give me a hand as to what's actually gone wrong here

yeah if you could please mate that would be great.
in theory "bug spray" should be perfectly safe in soil/coco etc. most publicly available insecticides are permethrin based wich is a synthetic pyrethroid modelelled on extracts from crysanthemums. its non systemic in "non hydro" processes wich means as long as you havent got your roots soaking in some sort of water bucket the plant shouldnt be able to absorb any of it. in hydro the plants will absorb up to 20% of what you use on them but even that in theory shouldnt have such drastic side effects. cant think of anything that would cause such an issue over night though so it does seem like the prime suspect. ill figure it out once i get the pics though mate. love a wee bit problem solving on my day off
: )

did it a least kill the bugs lol
