Okay abit of a update. I have 9 satellite colas orbiting the main cola. The main cola is still growing but the others are not. The trichs on these 9 mini colas are 30 % amber the rest milky. I do not want a severe couch lock for my meds. Can I harvest these and if so will the main cola still be alive?

Looks to green to be amber, have you gone to water only? 10+ days of water only she will look done when done.

Leaves have begun to yellow. Been on water only for a week. My question was if the lower buds are harvested will the main cola still live. 60x scope does not lie.

Seems that prolonging plants life makes couch lock as Muddy explains. The same as with photo plants, as far as I know.

I always harvest in stages ... I take off whatever bud looks done. Indoors it's usually the center cola first so the light can be moved closer to the lower buds ... if you're convinced they're ready take a couple off and start them to drying ... one reason to harvest in stages is if you screw up and dry the first buds too fast ... you have the next part of the harvest to get it right ... and if those satellite colas are really obitting the main cola like you said ... you need to stop smoking NOW ! Yes you can harvest the orbitting colas and leave the main one growing and yes it will stay alive... But you may shock her and stunt much future growth, trichs are hard to determine harvest time with autos, I aim for the couch lock and my last grow finished with 5% Amber... Wait for the leaves to start dying off when most the fan leaves have died off then it should be a more energetic high, waiting until the bud leaves yellow I find gives me the couch lock...plus in the little extra time she could put on a lot of weight...
