Can you transplant FROM a grow bag?

I’m wondering whether it’s possible to transplant from one grow bag to another?

I’d like to try starting a Blue Widow (photo) feminized seed under my T5 fixture before she goes outside; but I can’t get a big (30gallon) grow bag in there. So, I’m debating whether to use the “instatransplant” method (using a 6” black plastic pot) or whether to start her in a 3 gallon grow bag I have laying around, with the intention of putting her in a 30 gallon bag in about 3 weeks. What do y’all think?

I've transplanted a couple times from grow bags and you need to have the roots completely developed within the bag and then you peel the bag off like you're peeling some tight jeans off your missus. So I don't think three weeks would do for you. If you want to sacrifice a bag just cut the 3-gallon bag as much as you need to to place it inside the 30 and let the reach just grow out through it. If the bags are felt they won't have any trouble at all growing out through that especially with a few Cuts in them.

Thanks Jingo! That doesn't sound optimal, lol! It's kinda what I suspected but wanted clarification. I went with an 6"x6" 'instatransplant' pot like I've seen used on here. It wouldn't work for the strains I'm planting next spring but it ought to be fine for these few going in so late. I'm pretty far south and we usually don't even get a freeze until January. the last 5 years it was in the mid 80's on Christmas, lol! Thanks again!

yeah with such late start plants instatransplant pots will work great. For full season photos i wouldnt use them!

Is that the plant you had in your 2nd manure video - the one that got damaged in the wind storm? I’m asking because I was wondering if that is the sulphur/water paste you mentioned seals, disinfects and heals wounds to the stem?

No, actually that is a plant that got some sludge stalk(pythium), but the white stuff is indeed sulfur paste. I actually just applied sulfur to the one damaged yesterday

Special thanks to @Waira for that tip.....he likely saved my ass that year...the sludge was baaaad. I literally ripped branches the size of baseball bat handles apart with my bare hands easily. Was a close call, and the sulfur definitely helped that plant make it to the end!!

What kind of sulphur is it that you use - Soil Sulpur? And you just mix with distilled water to make a paste, correct?

Does Waira have a thread that breaks it down step-by-step? I’ve got a buddy that could really use this truck right now and I want to give him the correct instructions.

I just mix enough water in to make it a paste. Yes soil sulfur, yellow powder. Dont think there is a thread on this. For me it was super easy to find in a local garden center.
