Hello AFN - I am very new here so please forgive the mistakes I will be making!!

This is a journal of my second autoflower grow (quite a bit of photoperiod growing experience). I am growing in a 1.5m x 1.5m tent using a 9 pot RDWC system (urban deepwater culture) and 4 x Grow Northern Telos 008 LED (240W each). Also a Hailea chiller is connected to the header pot.

Lights are on 20/4 and I'm using the following:

Shogun Hydrogrow @ 1ml/L
Shogun CalMag @ 0.5ml/L
Shogun Silicon @ 1ml/L
Shogun Katana Roots @ 0.2ml/L
Mammoth P @ 0.16ml/L

My last grow I only used Hydrogrow & Hydrobloom so I thought I would chuck some supplements into the mix this time. I'm going to insert a pic of the whole system first and have not resized the image so apologies if it comes out massive...

There we go - so that is day 8 and we have 5 Chemdogging, 3 Sour Livers and 2 Fantasmo Express. I will put up some shots of individual plants too. Cheers.

Originally I had 3 Sour Livers in the system but one didn't come out right and got replaced by a spare Chemdogging (CD5 centre left).

Also, as you can see, four of the plants (CD5, SL3, FE1 and FE2) are a couple of days behind the others because they germinated a bit slower. I had some issues germinating the Sour Livers seeds and only 3 out of 5 popped and then one of those had to be replaced.

I'm considering moving one of my set ups to a DWC and I have also been considering doing some of the chemdogging so this seems to be the perfect thread for me :smoking: That chemdogging does really seem to be flying

DWC is great - I switched from coco and have never looked back. If you have an inner nerd, like me, you will love how most of the grow's parameters can be adjusted and easily monitored. Cheers.

Well that is where I will be moving from so it makes the watch even more perfect and yes I definitely have an Inner nerd :d5: You certainly packed the space out last time. I do have one question about DWC, do the brain and the tank have to be on the same level as the pots or could they be placed higher?

I know the tank can be higher and it is even an advantage as you will be able to drain it easily if necessary. I think the brain has to be on the same level as the pots because it controls the water/nutrient level in the system by using a float valve connected to the tank. It's quite important to keep the nutrient/water level just under (in mine about 2cm below) the base of the net pots.and to keep this consistent through the grow. Hope that helps!
