i feel or rather it is my understanding that sugar beat molasses has more micro nutes in it, for the same reason that black strap does, and i know blackstrap does because it is just the last step in the sugar making process and it is the least sweet with the most of the other leftovers. ya know...i will read your molasses ingriedients when i got a bit more time, but i was just curious about that molasses in specific because i was not expecting it to have any (n) in it, i usually just buy it from to food market so there is no npk value on it. so i guess it is a good idea for me to look at your link so then i will be able to tell if mine has the same values as general blackstap if it is on there. ,but i would like to find a good resource for sugar beet molasses. it does matter when that is just about all the micronute your plants gets, past the super soil. thanks for your time . and i use 1/2 tps in veg, 1 tps in early bloom and 2 in mid bloom and back to 1 at the end 3 weeks depending on strain. thanks all. and i will go check the n value on your link now

all molasses is definately different. it has to do with what it is and where it comes from. it has to all be different. sugar beats are a lot different then caine sugar and there are 4 or 5 different processes in making sugar, eash one leaving a different waste material behind (or molasses)
. but i still didnt think i would see n in the mix. thanks for the link friend

Yea I want to switch to the black strap ..I dont think the unsulphured regular stuff is good enough...But I did get a huge jar of local honey..how much of that can I add to 1gal?We should just do a test..results is what matters :stylez rasta smoke::smokebuds:

i have never heard of or tried using honey. does it have a helpful amout of micronutes to feed the heards? i have had good results with unsulfered as it is the closest to blackstrap, but my kid loves the blackstrap (kid being my pile of living soil)

OK guys(&gal) sorry I'm late today. Had a bad nights sleep and woke in lotsa pain. Medicated early and not felt like writing till now. I'm still kind of cloudy(thanks to Morpheus laughing) so what's going on?

@Swamp man. What happened swamp? Your bro messed with yo ladies? This on? The 44oz one?
You asked how much sorghum I added. I once again got science like and added till the ppm would be if I were using molasses. It took less sorghum to reach that number.

@cb420. I just put up new pics last night. Oh and welcome to AFNlogo

@ mister I like to put up spider pics....yea she is loving the heavy feed....at a rate of 400ml every 12 hours of lights on.

Molasses - guys, he's some more info: ...there isn't a significant amount of Nitrogen in molasses, sugar cane or beet, and as a sole source of Macro-nutrients (N-P-K, even Ca), it's too weak to substitute for actual fert's,... it does have a decent amount of micronute's though, but has a different profile between the 2 sources; the term "blackstrap" applies to any 3rd boiling sugar cane syrup = molasses; (never seen anything but unsulphurated; sulphur is used sometimes in the extraction process, but ends up tasting funky, for us humans at least! :D: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molasses
.....Honey is mineral nutrient poor; it's all about sugar for the 'crobe herd! :hump: ...I feed it at the same rate as molasses.... I've been using a Ca-Mg supp' lately, so more molasses is redundant, and that's why I'm trying honey,... that, and to see if there are end-smoking product differences... contrary to belief, molasses itself doesn't contribute flavor to the weed...( I quizzed several top growers here on this, and most all said no, or couldn't tell at least; none said yes)...honey,..we'll see! Generally, aromatic compounds are not taken up by the roots, they just don't get across cell membranes like that, much less get transported all the way up to the tops...
Bromeo, hope you're feeling better, mate! Morpheus Laughing,...a heavy handed Indica? You've mentioned this strain before,...:smokeit:
<--who dat? :roflcry: >>> Damn, she's porkin' down at that rate!...

ya that is it as i understand it almost. the difference between sulphured and not is sulphured molasses is the second process when the cane is green and un-sulphured is dry mature cane, but ya thats the process. but sugar beet molasses has one more process. and please never believe everything wiki says, but i am sure you know that. my info comes from life in a sugar production town(, but it may lack some major points also).. and a farming area in general. not that it differs much from wiki.

and i like the honey idea in place of molasses to feed the heards , but i agree that it isnt going to effect the taste other then just keeping the plant in superb health as molasses does. i have heard of people feeding coolaid and coke and orangejuice and i think it is all fairytale, but to be honest i have never tested it so i will be real interested in what anyone else finds or knows

Waira Morpheus Laughing is my own cross. It has a very pink pink ogre daddy and a critical jack mommy. I love critical jack but can't afford to be ordering the beans all the time. I also thought pink ogre might tame it a little and make it a little less nutrient sensitive. I was half right:Stones slap:. It made it easy as pie to grow...almost boring but its strong as hell. Knocks out pain fast.....along with memory, focus....:WTF: Its really fun but not a great going out in public to do shit strain. Shopping proved to be damn near imposable on it but shooting pool is awesome on it.
