Outdoor Crow's GG at 56ºN

Went to see the Frisian Duck mum this evening. She continues to grow bigger and bushier, still no sign of flowering though. I gave her another tuck, the main tops spreading out in an oval shape, and secondary tops and nodes coming through in the middle. The past couple of weeks I had the last of her clones in the polytunnel in a small pot, she got blown over and all her growing tips were at 90º to her stem. Decided to plant her out. Used one of the buckets from the Auto Duck, topped up the soil. She's now sitting out, nearby her mum. Nice family reunion and all that.
:)
Gave them both some Flower Power and left them to it.

Your girls will be loving this Autumn sun ;)
Yeah, it's a great Indian summer we're having. Normal service resumes next week, or so I hear. Still going to be quite warm for mid-September though. Only problem with dry weather is I'll have to do water runs soon...

I hated doing a water run in the hot heat of Scotland. Lol

Well we had haar (sea fog) last night and it's still hanging around. Everything outside was coated in condensation, so a wee bit moisture for the girls there maybe.
Unfortunately with todays heat probably not enough lol like I mentioned to u any decent plot around me is a good half hour 40minute mission away lol (a bait 1 too lol)

Fek that trek mate.
I was 5 minutes from the car to the sight. Still burst my tits.

Went to the railway yesterday evening. Took another Super Kush clone with me to plant in a vacated hole. Also checked on the Sawney Bean autos and the Joshua clone. They're all finished, ready to harvest. Probably the recent sunshine and warmth did them good. Will chop them next visit. Kinda handy timing, as it means I can plant up the last of the Super Kush clones as replacements, rather than making up new planters. The C99 x Blueberry EV is in full flower now, quite a lovely sight indeed. No signs of the Super Kush clones flowering yet, wish they'd get a move on... Otherwise it's looking good at the railway. Gave them all some Flower Power, except the new arrival, she got liquid seaweed and slow release granules as well.

Managed to visit the Frisian Ducks earlier. The clone that I potted up a week ago is now flowering, whereas the mum that I'm tucking into the ScrOG net has not started yet. I suspect this may be due to the clone being severely root restricted in a 0.5 litre pot for several weeks prior, maybe that's what triggered flower. I daresay the amazing weather last week helped too. As for the ScrOG, well she keeps growing and I keep tucking. Flower can't be far off now. I am going to have to add some canes to the long edges of the net to make it a bit more rigid, as the mum is very vigorous, and lifting the centre section up as she grows. Next visit... Both girls got a good drench with Flower Power and some chicken manure.

Also went to the embankment plot, but once again the sun had already set by the time I arrived. It got dark really quickly too. There was enough light to see by, but not to take photos. So I used flash again, not great for getting an overall impression of the plot but okay for catching details. As far as I can tell, almost everything is now flowering, though it's very early days for the Super Kush clones and the Triton Biscotto Lime clones. The two new arrivals are still vegging. The tall girls are growing some pretty impressive buds, I look forward to them getting bigger still. The Sawney Bean autos are pretty much finished, the SOS still have a few white pistils so I'll give them a bit longer before chop. All the plants got root soak with Flower Power. I snapped branches of various surrounding vegetation, which is beginning to encroach on the plot a bit too much. Also did the same to some bushes further up the slope, to stop them blocking the sun so much. Next visit I must get to the plot while it's still daylight, so I can see everything properly and maybe get a bit of weeding done.

Overall it's all fine, though the C99 x Blueberry EV are still looking a bit hungry. Also I'm concerned that everything's a bit overcrowded. Not a problem just now, but later in flower could cause issues with lack of airflow. Maybe I'll try to lose some lower leaves next time, and open up the plot a bit more, though despite being quite sheltered it does seem to get a decent breeze when there is one. If I had a powerful catapult I could literally throw a stone into the sea from the plot, so not that surprising there's a fresh breeze now and again.
