Outdoor Crow's GG at 56ºN

Speaking of the Soviet Finland autos, several have shown sex. Including one very obvious male Short Term Amnesia, he is rather tall and has pollen sacs already!

So, this might save me a bit of work planting. I can keep any definite males here, collect their pollen. Then just plant out confirmed females. I can pollinate them once they have formed some buds...

Planted out the four Auto Duck girls this evening. The two larger specimens went into buckets at my "garden" plot. The two smaller girls went one each into two "easy" plots. Once the larger plants reach five nodes (soon by the looks of it) I will top them and try to root out the tops, any resulting clones will be planted in the "easy" plots as a second wave.

Potted up the photo seedlings today, and moved them to the veg cab alongside the rest of the autos and semi-autos.

In the pic below the big bushy girls are two Mandarin Panties Auto at centre back and a Nightmare at back left, C99 x Blueberry at the front. The smaller girls to the left are Thunder Banana Auto, in the middle is Purple Maroc Glue, top right is Outdoor UK Auto. The photos on the right are BCN Critical XXL Fast, and in the centre a couple of Essex Gold, plus one each of Sweet Afghani Delicious, Biddy Early 2 Fast, and Guerrilla Gold Pie Fast.

The autos, semi-autos really should be outside, but I've no plot for them yet as I haven't prepped the replacement for my lost plots. Soon.....at least they're not flowering.

I've popped some more photo seeds in soil, pics when they sprout.

Was down at the railway again this evening. Really warm, difficult wandering around in camouflage gear, hood up, face covering... People on the street in shorts, t-shirts, etc. :rolleyes1:

Anyway got some prep done, found spots for the planters I'll be using for the Soviet Finland autos. Put some coco coir and compost in them. Will return soon to dig some top soil to finish them off, then I'm ready to plant out.

Also visited the girls further along the line. They're doing great, the recent arrivals haven't missed a beat. Signs of a couple of plants being nibbled a bit - Joshua had some slug/snail damage (probably from the wet weather) and a couple of girls have what looks like caterpillar nibbles. I gave them all some water, and put some slow release fertiliser granules down. Just a teaspoon each required. If these plots had been ready earlier, I could have used chicken manure, but not now. I trimmed a few tree branches back that were overhanging or blocking light. We have a spell of good weather for the next week or two, hope these girls can make the most of it.

Finally some decent pics.

Looking good so far mate. Well done that man

Last night the Soviet Finland autos (four RK62 and three Short Term Amnesia) were planted out in planters, at different spots further along the railway line. Most were showing sex, and appear to be girls, though time will tell. Possibly a bit unusual to get only one male among eight regs? Anyway not complaining if so. The solitary male Short Term Amnesia (so far) is still at home, by a window, and I will collect pollen from him to hopefully pollinate at least one of the females from the same strain.

I gave them a good water and some slow release fertiliser granules. Put some slug pellets down too. No pics as it was dark by the time I finished. Next visit...

Went to check on the Auto Duck girls yesterday, gave them some feed and cut back any encroaching vegetation. Have to say I am quite impressed by the sudden growth spurt shown by all of them. The two bigger girls are really going for it. The two smaller girls progressing more modestly, but still doing fine. They don't get as many hours of sun as the bigger girls, their plots spend more time in shade. Great to see them enjoying life outside. The two big girls are nearly ready to top, but not quite. Next visit.

Just checked again on the girls in the veg cab. Photo seedlings are coming along nicely for a plant out next month sometime. Autos, semi-autos and earlies are getting big now. That will create some transportation issues for me when moving them out, but also the true autos have started to flower. They're at day 37. The semi-autos / earlies are still just vegging.

So I have a problem. Ideally these should have gone out already, but losing a couple of plots has set me back. I don't have a plot ready for them - was hoping to do prep on Sunday but couldn't manage. I might be able to get them all out in a few days' time if luck is with me. Or alternatively I could grow the ones in flower here in a tent, one should be free in about a week. Not sure what to do, they probably won't all fit in one tent. I've been holding on moving them until plot prep was done, but now I have to reconsider. Was going to top any that got a bit tall. Flowering girls throws things a bit as topping them is out.
