Dutch Passion Dutch Passion 2021 Grow & Show

Hey growers!! :toke:
Only one thing left to report about in this grow and that's how my beautiful Allif a.k.a. Auto Mokum's Tulip smells, tastes and smokes. :pass:
This strain is one of two more fragrant strains I've grown and has become my goto strain to chill out. Whereas Bruce Banner gets me going in the morning, Mokum's Tulip let's me unwind after a busy day.
After a cure of little more then two weeks I feel she is ready for a review. Can she get tastier after a longer cure? Sure, but like I said. She is my goto strain for the moment
Humidity sits at 63%, I keep the jars at room temperature which is about 23°C / 73°F and they are kept out of direct sunlight.
Grinding a bud in my trusty 'Chinese' Masterdam grinder a floral smell emerges upon opening the lid. Smoking it releases a more cookie mellow after-taste though, but the floral is still present. Yum
The buds aren't that firm, but that is due to the fact that I lost the most dense buds to mold, which has been a b!tch this year!! :cuss:
But they are covered in resin...

So...Without further ado...
  • Bag appeal : *** / ***** I explained above why the buds could have been more firm.
  • Taste : **** / ***** Fantastic flavor especially for those of us that smoke joints. Vaping the bud leaves an almost lavender taste in your mouth. Better to smoke it.
  • Smell : ***** / ***** My new discovery of this season. I like the floral smell a lot!
  • High : **** / ***** Nice relaxing high. I can smoke several a night. If you want to get wasted on this strain you need to make rosin out of it. (read on below)
  • Medicinal : ** / ***** For me this strain belongs to the recreational variety. Although it does relax me mentally, I didn't get the muscle-relaxation I was looking for being a back patient and all...

Todays smoke report was a "kill two birds with one stone" approach as I used the same pictures in Vapo's V-Stripe thread. :cooldance:
Especially for his thread I squeezed some rosin last night. It might look dark, but is nice and clear with almost no debris in the resin.

After grinding the bud I added a nice piece of rosin to the mix by heating it up ever so slightly...

20210901_125637_small.jpg

...Just enough to create drops. Then heating the metal thingy getting it nice and hot mixing in the rosin into the ground-up bud. Top-tip: make sure you don't leave any lumps behind as these will f#ck up the burn on your joint...

Yes, I do use some tabacco. Old habbits I guess :shrug:

The smoke is nice an thick just like with a joint rolled with Hashish :baked:

Day 23 Kerosene Krash
Its tied up, but hasn't been a happy girl from the start really, I'm running on empty jars, empty pockets and nearly no ammendments left and shite soil... Nothing wrong with her much but I don't think she likes the soil or how much I threw in at the start. But I think she will grow through OK once she's big enough to take the soil strength.... Its one of those do nothing moments and let her balance out instead of throwing things at the pot and hoping it works... My other 4 new, starters are looking the same, so that tells me it's soil/ammendments derived.

Kerosene Krash Week 12 Day 79

Here's Kerosene Bertha on day 79, she really is something special, brushing your palm acroos her canopy leaves a sticky residue and the peppery fresh, gassy aroma is very pungent.

Kerosene Betty has been drying in brown bags for a week now, when humidity reached 69% I transferred her into into 32oz mason jars for curing. The little sample I picked at random was a very firm nugget almost like a marshmallow on roids.

I'm so impressed with the her taste profile and I would short list the Kerosene as one of Dutch Passions best creations I've come across.

Here's Kerosene Krash Beatrice day 58

Until next time, happy dreaming ;)

Kerosene Krash Week 12 Day 80

The mighty Kerosene Bertha was harvested yesterday, I was hoping to aim for the 9th September to fell her but she was just to far developed to last that long. Harvest days in September are thin on the ground when combining it with Lunar planting.

I've been impressed then impressed some more by the Kerosene Krash, a fast grower, super dense buds and an aroma that just about made me feel very nauseous during harvest, I had to suck some strong mints to help ;)

Here she is pre hair-cut and hair cut with a bud sample.
