Does this look normal for day 13? The two dutch passion girls are the size of a bottle cap and only an inch above the soil where the purple lights 2x bigger.

I'm feeding them the @ the same rate and all the soil mixes are the same in the pots.

The girls aren't showing any deficiencies or burn. They just seem stunted somehow.

Today, I increased the feed dosage to 2ml and used 'colonized' or 'cycled' water from my freshwater aquarium that doesn't contain any chemicals.

The mix consisted of:

grow
bloom
amino aide
trinity
ancient amber
extreme serene
Oregonism XL top dress 1/4 tsp applied to the stem base

I'm guessing that the soil was too cold for germination/sprouting but I'm not exactly sure.. Grow room temp fluctuates a lot but nighttime is around 65-70.

Might just be runts if you were just unlucky to get two runts. But it is strange man i just looked back on my journal and my bb was bigger than that on day 12, yours seems to stuned somehow but from your pictures they seem to be healthy.
Man if you got two runts lol you might be lucky sometimes when all hope is lost they really seem to take off and outperform the other plants. but i suppose it could go the other way too.
Wishing you good luck and some:karma Cloud:

I've had runts really take off but at this point, I'm just getting a little paranoid with these two. After looking at some other grows, some people have TRIPLE the growth in veg compared to mine @ day 12. It's ridiculous.

I just soaked 3 of my purple light crossbreed seeds and I'm gonna test them the roots organic soil using rapid rooters and no seed starter this time + a stronger nute feed @ day 3. Just for experimentation purposes. They will go in small .8 liter air pots.

They seem a little small for there age (except the starlight) But they again so did my AWW now look at her. When did you give the first feed? And what have they had dose and nutes?

Ill have to check out your aww to compare. Gave the first feed on day 7 @ 1ml per gal (1/5th strength) of grow, trinity and ancient amber

I don't think they liked the seed starter mix... That mix may have been too chunky for the taproot to pass through. Not sure :/

The two dutch passion girls have preflowered and haven't grown a bit. They're barely an inch tall. I don't know if the vendor gave me bunk seeds, or if I fucked things up because my crossbreed strain is doing just fine with lots of new growth. I started 3 more purple lights seeds and popped them in .8 liter air pots in rapid rooters.

Hmmm.. They do look a little bit small bro? Maybe they didn't like there feed and have been stunted?? You purple lights cross looks epic bro.

Have been busy recovering the 3 girls I originally had going while getting the new girls going. The stunted girls recovered with ph'd water and had a growth spurt after the roots reached the bottom half layer of amended roots organics.

I found that germing in a rapid rooter and planting that directly in roots organics original amended with perlite, dolomite lime, gypsum or roots organics elemental showed no stunting and growth has been fantastic with them at day 9 so far. No seed starter mix needed.

I have been feeding the day 9's with ph'd reverse osmosis water with 10 drops of concentrace mineral drops per gal + elemental & pro-tekt organic silicon

I also found better seedling growth by soaking the seeds for 24-48 hours and planting directly into rapid rooters without doing the paper towel method. This decreases the risk of breaking any 'micro hairs' off the taproot.

As for the scrog, this is my first time doing it and It's been awesome. Day 31 PL has been growing at least an inch a day in height requiring a bend down and fan leaf arrangement every morning. Hopefully the work pays off in the end

:peace:
