New Grower Fan Heat Issue question needs answer

I have noticed that currently I do not need my cool-tube fan on to keep temps at 26-27. My Strube airflow 6" metal cased Fan is 2 feet in line with M/H 600W cool tube. I tuned the fan off and noticed the fan casing very hot. Could this type of heat fuck the fan up if turned off; Enough heat to melt plastic parts probably ?????? Comman sense says YES

not sure if your fan is a ball bearing or a sleeve type ... for the application I would expect it is a bb type ... in either case heat will reduce the life of the fan ... and if you want to lube anything remember use an appropriate lub such as lithium rated at temp
