Day 45: Just defoliated a bit more... Took off some of the flowers in shadow that I knew weren't going to do much.

No worries, @Damien50. Things have been a little less interesting with the grow lately anyway. :p

Day 51: Well, actually, there are still some issues, but nothing I can do anything about given my light is strapped tight against the roof of the tent at this point. Light burn is becoming quite evident and I'm just hoping it isn't severe enough to hurt any of the tallest and most central colas. I haven't noticed any changes in their appearance at all--I'm thinking the sort of leaf burn I have comes at intensity levels well under those that turn buds all-white and inert. Guess I'll find out as there's another 2-3 weeks to go till harvest.

In fact, I don't see how any of the troubles are affecting the flowers at all. If there is an effect, it doesn't seem to be a localized one (i.e. it isn't hurting more so the bud sites nearest the damaged leaves) as the frosting and density of flower growth is the same allover the canopy. The buds look good well below the canopy, as well--popcorn buds definitely start lower on the plants than I expected. I guess the LEDs are penetrating okay after all. Speaking of that, I'm pretty impressed at the flowering against the walls of the tent. The light is only 10" from the canopy so the light field is restricted to the center of the tent until a few nodes down, yet the colas in the corners of the tent, like in the fourth picture above, are looking great.

This is probably my last update until next weekend--I'll be out of town all next week, but the plants will still be fed daily.

And now we jump way ahead to...

Day 60: My plantsitter did a decent enough job, though they didn't give quite enough water per feeding. Pots were very light when I returned, though no wilting or anything. They've been replenished with around 4 gallons in the last 36 hours. I just did a defoliation, probably the last. Some plants had nearly all fan leaves removed, some just a few.

Fourth picture, featuring Sour Crack, suggests to me it's closest to harvest. I don't see trichome coloration signs yet, but it's supposed to have the shortest cycle and its buds are pretty dense and seem mature.
