check the temps of the base of your pots that is sitting on the heat mat. you don't want it too hot. It will bake your seedling. I have used heat mats to kick start a seedling and you have to constantly monitor the temperature of the cup/pot that you're putting on top of it. Some mats will vary temp, especially older ones, IMO.

Personally if it was me I'd toss that one and start another since you're not going too lose much time. I just aborted two recent grows with 10+ seeds each. That was a bit of a loss. 26 seeds total. But Im glad I did. No regrets. But if funds are tight then let it go longer and see how it looks.

Its still alive, growing taller, has roots, and a set of its first leaves and the grow tip. I wish I had my smartphone for some pictures but I lost it about a month ago and can't find it. I think I gotta bite the bullet and get a new one tomorrow, anyhow. Is three days too early for some light strength nutrients to pour on the top of it? Should I wait a bit on that or get on that? Thanks in advance.

It depends on the nutes you’re using and soil

If you’re using soil that already has nutes in it then you’re probably good for the 1st 2 weeks

Im using Nectar for the Gods,you can use that stuff day 1 if you want

I don’t know about the other nutes but I would hold off if i were using synthetic nutes

Its hydroponics, its just in a sort of rapid rooter type cube called a Root Riot on top of some ph'd hydroton stones/clay pebbles.

@HotCheetos, I mixed up a reservoir of 1/4 strength nutes that I used for the first two weeks. For the first 10 days, I dipped a measuring cup into the reservoir and poured it over the hydroton and seedling.

I think I might have mixed the nutrients a bit strong, we'll need to see. I got a six inch net pot, how long does it take to get to the reseroir through six inches of hydroton?

It was Day 9 when the roots hit the reservoir. I am also in a 6 inch net pot.

Thanks. But I am not really doing much. I just change the reservoir and watch her grow like a weed. It’s pretty much on autopilot.
