Hi everyone

Just started growing with an auto Bubba Kush which is in a greenhouse. Never grown anything before, but she's looking very healthy and growing very quickly! Might post some pics at some point.

Got some Auto Mazar seeds on the way too.

Most of my hobbies I end up getting really nerdy and obsessive about but I'm hoping I might not have to do too much messing with this . Just here to pick up a few tips if needed and get ideas for good strains etc.

Welcome to the forums here at AFN

First time grower, no problem, the forums here are full of great info, amazing grows and helpful friendly members.

First thing to do is start a grow journal, where you can post updates and ask questions about all aspects of your grow.

Ask as many questions as you like in your journal and someone will swing by and lend a hand.

Studying your subject is a good thing to do and nothing wrong with a bit of nerdyness but at the start best thing to do is keep it simple. With your first grow just treat it like you would a tomato plant, you can start to use advanced techniques as you build your skill set.

As for varieties/strains to choose, have a good look at some grow journals and see if any jump out at you.
Or you could try some Mephisto Genetics, Dutch Passion or Sweet Seeds we have many members who have good results using seeds from these suppliers but of course there are many other seed companies to choose from.

Have a look at the BOM competition (Bud Of the Month). every month we hold a competition to see who has the best buds.
The members here nominate another members plant and then we vote which is the best, here you can see some amzing plants and it might help you decide what strain to grow next. Here is a link to the BOM and please be sure to vote - BOM competion

Hi tyrion, good to hear you have a nice healthy plant and its growing quickly. Now expect it to start speeding up a lot. Have you noticed yet that it has started to go "feathery" on the top and tips? She's starting to get ready to flower and then she will go up like a train. What size pot are you using and what are you growing in? I have 1 in the garden in soil in a 15L pot and it's now nearly 6ft(which is bad as I didn't want it this big yet, trying to keep them under 12ft this year.) and 2 in 5L in coco and they are at 4ft. If you want big plants the out doors is the place to do it. Have fun mate.

Welcome to the obsessive family, Ty! The great thing about autos is they don't have to be obsessive, they can easily be just semi-obssesive.
