Lighting How many plants? 3x3 tent & Mars II 700

The Mars II 700 has a 2x2 footprint in flower. That is one good plant, any more than one and you reduce yield for each plant.

I personally would stick to one plant unless you plan to add another light later on.

I grow under LEDs that draw the same as your Mars, and have at least a 3x3 footprint and I still like one plant a light in flower.

I only have experience with the Mars II 700 and lumigrow pro 325 and 650. I only use the Mars for side lights these days. @Slater are you using a reflector? I don't remember. If you stick with Mars ask @marshydro-tina they give accurate information.

Hey @Sleeveofauto nice to meet you dude, yes I have 2 reflectors 1 x 48 and 1 x 96, both are good but the 48 Is really only for adding some extra light in or as a propagation light which I'm using mine for. I use my 96 as a second light for bloom bolstering my 600w mars classic for my main tent and so far done the job proud...I know that I can do better with a better make of light (that's why i 'm just about to build my own COB lighting rig) but I will not put Mars down they are great affordable light with good results until you can save up for that kickass light we all dream about.
Check my diary of my first grow to see some results, the first harvest i used the 48 then on the second i went with the 96.

I suggest running 1 gal pots.

I have a 3x3x5 and that is what i run in mine under 2 platinum p300's

You can really cram them in there as long as you have proper lighting over them. That 700 should do just fine in there over those plants, thats a lot of light in that area.

I was thinking of adding one to flowering. Exactly as you said, the mars fit my budget at this time. Nice grow journal!

@Sleeveofauto - You did a really good job with four plants in your tent. I have a 3x3x7 and I'm struggling with three plants in there.
