my last photo grow was with a 4 spot blackstar chrome. they are a really nice light my only issue was too small a footprint but with your model you shouldn't have any problems. look forward to seeing pics Horror

How are the temps in the garage mate? If it gets really cold in there at night you could keep the lights on,and have the off period in the day when its a little warmer

That's what I do Red... 12-4pm... Although the clocks went back since so now it's 11am-3pm... While I'm at work...

Last grow was 2am to 6am but found tent was getting too cold... That was springtime.. So I thought this time I'd keep the lights on at night.. :thumbs:

Just starting a seed run with BS 100w im only using half gallon pots have to keep things small unfortunately. Iv grown under hps before and used to gauge the canopy distance with my hand but obviously you cant with leds. Just waiting for my beans to sprout but could someone who has used the 100w BS give me an idea of wat distance to start off. Iv got it about 20 inches above but aint sure if im too high or close no manual. Iv read alot of different distances but mostly for more powerful leds. Thanks

Hay man I think that model uses 2w and 3w chips so I would use ur 20 inches when there seedlings then let the plants grow towards it but I wouldn't let them get closer than 10 inches.

Thanks J TaNg il leave it at 20 till they get going il be able to to judge by how much there stretching soon enough. They really dont put out any heat but they sure are bright :thumbs:

Hay man we can only recommend lights we have seen used on the site,would hate u to get a shit light dude. Have you looked at the Blackstar Chrome series? That's a reasonable priced modular LED with a great spectrum,check out grows from Astronomy420 and Robwars they both use Chrome and Blackstar Classic series. The Cali light woks is a proven light on here but like u say its a little on the pricey side. Another light u may want to look at are MagnumLED,if u look at a diary from DubV u will see them in action.
