I'd say you would need at least 4 of the ms006 leds mate,6 would be awesome..1 ms006 is ideal for around a 2x2 area,but you could push it :High 5:

44 fab not knowing anything about that model i would recommend using the blackstar 135w ufo, it is used by a few grower's out here ,including me!: if the cost is the same, go with what has been tested.:smokebuds:

I have been thinking about getting a 40 watt LED to try and see if i like it. I just wonder if a 40w LED light will give the same amount grams per watt as a HID light will, or if it works differently in any other way?

you would be hard pressed to grow one plant with a 40watt led, you did not mention the wattage of the hid you wanted to use?
a single 90 watt led could do a medium sized plant, but to maximize your crop, it should be a little bigger,:smokebuds:
