It’s been awhile since I last made it on AFN. Really miss the posts and be a part of this place like I once was. The good news is I’m making some changes so I hope to be back where I belong.

While I’m here I decided it may be a good time to drop some fantastic news. Since day 1 of growing autos one name always stuck out and has really surpassed the competition in all avenues. Genetics are probably the most important part of growing so this is even more exciting. Your lights are already the best and now you know they are growing your seeds too. Hats off to Mephisto genetics. Extremely pleased to anounce Cobshop is the official grow light of Mephisto USA. It’s truly an honor and I couldn’t have done any of this without the help the members here.

I love 048 series Citizens at the mid 50w level. I still treat my COB system like Autocobs where each one is a chandelier on its own rope ratchet. I still have a love/hate relationship with BJBs. Good times.

And you're absolutely correct about Mephisto...that's all I grow.

What’s got me sold in the bjb is the mini reflector built in on them. They are much stronger even while being plastic than the stainless. I have had a few bad holders (spotted before shipping of coarse) but have had fantastic success with them. Close to 10k purchased and 4-5 bad ones isn’t to bad at all. I guess it’s a personal preference thing. The local sales rep from bjb is also one bad ass guy too. We spoke when I first started and was so willing to help set me up when the others weren’t.

I absolutely love my autocobs and I need to pick up another very soon. First foray into autos so definitely new to it all and new to any lighting that isn’t hps or cfl, I couldn’t be happier with these lights, seriously. I haven’t seen too many auto genetics yet just a couple breeders, for my third Breeder i tried mephisto and (germination challenges aside) they seem to really like these lights!

thus far the varieties that are mephisto that make it out of germination just take off. They love to eat & drink but they don’t freak out when I’m busy that day and can’t get to it until later. they just seem very hardy compared to the others I’ve tried so far. and they love the light and although I didn’t necessarily dislike the genetics from the other breeders, their plants just had way more issues it seems. Even when I got better dirt, I still saw more deficiencies and maybe even a little intolerance of the light intensity, these are pretty intense lights for sure. Basically what I’m saying is thus far my mephisto plants look the happiest and complain the least under these autocobs... for whatever reason. I for sure will never return to HPS lights or the drama of heat & giant hot ballasts ... or the electricity bill. If these mephisto strains keep flourishing the way they are and putting my fastbuds girls to shame, I may need to only grow theirs I guess lol..

Oh and @BigSm0 , I sincerely hope to see you around more, I wouldn’t have finally bitten the bullet and tried something new had I not found your autocobs and all the helpful content you made here, and that’s a fact
