This was pressed from flower at low temps.

Good day all:bong:

HEAT PRESSERS, I want to hear from YOU!

I want to get into this plenty.. what are you using for equipment? If it's a flat iron, which brand/model? I'm looking for something sturdy and reliable yet inexpensive.
Here ya go man.....
flat iron- biggest plates you can get and one with a digital temp on it would be best. try a rummage store or a thrift store. If you have a few spare bucks, get yourself on eof those infra red temp guns to dial it in.
get a clamp like this...pressure is your friend.

Parchment paper and your bud and you are ready to press! Low temp(180*F-220*F) is acceptable and you place your bud in the parchment close the flat iron around the parchment and slide that clamp on it and wratchet it down and watch for the stuff to ooze! Anywhere from 10-20 seconds or until you hear the sizzle from the bud in the parchment stop sizzling. Now here is where it gets interesting.....some strains will yield some great rosin, where some will not. It is totally up to the strain you are using. Temps and pressure can all be played with for your own personal setup, to dial it in. This is where most of us started, so get what you need and start playing with some rosin man!:headbang:

There's a thread up by @Mañ'O'Green where he does a little "what I did" with building a really nice 6-ton shop press based rosin press that's a really nice bang for your buck rig: https://www.autoflower.org/threads/6-ton-diy-rosin-press.61093/

There are a number of different companies that make plate kits for different presses. I went with an outfit called NewVape and their 6-ton press kit. Should be a link in my sig to a thread with more details on mine if you want to go down that rabbit hole. Inexpensive is not something I would call most of the kits you can buy from the various manufactures, but it's really kind of relative to your own personal budget. There's a review around here somewhere for a nice, portable press from Bee Nail that's really nice, and also doubles as an e-nail controller for a kind of "all in one" portable setup. Puff Tuff is another outfit I would give a serious look if I was shopping for one again.

Went and found the BeeNail thread: https://www.autoflower.org/threads/hextractor-1500-press-enail-test-by-budelee.59356/

Hi GringoStarr:

My mom used to call me a cheapskate . I like to think of myself as thrifty. Look at my 6 ton rosin press thread. If you have some tools and a drill press with a little skill you can make this for about half of the price of buying one.

I started using a Slug.33, pressing dry trim and bud. Here's a picture from 1 gr of trim from my Tangiematic. :)

It uses heat and it presses, so I guess it's a heat press? LOL =P
