I was out of bed and jumping out my window in about 3 seconds. The streets in my neighborhood are dark so its actually a good place to be a thief but its too quiet to break a window without someone hearing.
Im guessing the boss doesn't want to deal with the law so he'll probably just have me take it in get fixed

Last time that happened to me I had already installed a motion detector alarm system that set off a beeper if anybody touched my car. I was parked on W. 49th St in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of NYC. The beeper went off at dawn and I looked out the window and my passenger side door was open and a guy's feet were sticking out onto the sidewalk. I grabbed my cutlass (aka machete) and bounded down from the 3rd floor railroad apartment. By the time I got outside he was half a block away sprinting with a shopping bag full of my stuff: a collection of hard-to-find recordings and, of course, my alarm system.
