Sicily

Ten years ago this past March I traveled to Sicily to discover a bit of my heritage. It would my first time traveling out of the United States and it would literally change my life forever. I lived with a Sicilian family for three months and also took the oppurtunity to study the Italian language while I was there. It would become the greatest food experience that I have yet encountered in my life"munch" In the first two months I would gain 8kg/17.6lbs and I have a rather svelte physique (even if I do say so myself ).

At the school where I studied I would also meet the love of my life, the women who would become my wife and the mother of my children. The next year I moved away from California and my lovely outdoor grows to a cold and rainy land never once hesitating :Wind Chilllll..: Such is the power of love."Send kisses"

Killer.......:yoinks:..but we only usually do it about once a month.....

Spain is not all about tapas for me, the meat dishes are unreal
Remember when this pic was taken, ordered a T bone steak and just before they brought out my sizzling steak they put a bib on me! all the rest of the food was on a separate plate

We have two cracking steak houses near to us.
I made the mistake once of ordering something Different....:stoneslap:..and ended up with an Ox steak that was so big I could only eat a 1/3rd of it.
I always remember my sons face..(hairy food processor on legs..)..he must have been on a health kick and ordered sea bass...when my steak arrived hanging over the sides of my plate his jaw hit the Floor.

:crying: ..so did mine.

Anyone tell I'm loving this weekends theme?

Anyone Think we should make the first weekend in every Month a Food theme....?

Photo what you Eat in the month and bring in your favourites...?

I Like seeing what everyone is eating and how we Vary....

Theres so much interest in the food theme it should have its own thread really, a food-porn thread :)

Happy Sunday friends! It's transplant day for some of Anthro's round 3 yay, since one of the Bubblegum is already rooted through the puck bottom lol. Will start a Journal once all of them are above soil. Anyways, I'm against working on Sundays, but with such a fun hobby, can't it be considered play? :)

I definately don't class it as work :)

Missed breakfast this morning Mossy  and could smell your breakfast in London! but will get my own back later when I upload a Sunday beef roast pic

TaNg, makes me laugh when people order meat well done! got to to rare. One of the best restaurants I've been to was Argentinian in santa ponca, Spain, they do like their meat, and rare

Hope theres not going to be a travel theme next weekend as ivm away fishing

This is an interesting pic, for me at least, first time I ever ate lobster. Was getting worried when the waiter brought out the tools! also got a bollocking for not eating all the meat and was shown how to clean up!
