No, I don't like sticky traps that amounts to torture. But good old spring traps do qiute well!

Mine have started outsmarting the spring traps 9 out of 10 times or so. They still get one once in a while, but most often the PB bait just disappears. These guys are really, really tiny so light enough that they just don't trip 'em unless they get really pushy with the bait. I've picked up one of the electric traps to try out, and thrown out the remaining glue strips. Since my growing is temporarily on hiatus, I've also set out a few spare 5gal buckets that were lying around baited with PB dabs around the inside. The tiny ones can't make the jump back out. Got one that way so far. Thinking seriously of adding a cat/kitten to the household to (hopefully) augment the traps. From what I've read, even just the scent of the predator in the house can help keep the mice from coming in.

I do okay on the campo kitchen....paella ring in an old bbq for wind cover.



First on the menu..chilli con carne..two nice green Scotch Bonnets from the garden. Scotch Bonnets are my Favourite chilli of the season. Red Hot....then Not..no taste bud burn out..just the Kiss of the Devil.

The nutmeg..rosemary..bay leaves cloves and cinnamon are for beef stifado..Greek tomato and onion based beef stew..the spices when it is cooking instantly bring Greek holidays to mind.... ..sigh..

Where do you women get the fire proofing. My wife is the same with Habanero and Scotch Bonnets. Eats them like candy.
She makes a simple condiment adding vinegar and onion that has brought grown men ,who thought they were tough, to their knees in tears.

Good Evening AFN Stoners.....sharing one in anticipation of Friday Worship...oh I Love me Fridays.

Been working like a Trojan today and it is cold..eP..run the magnesium bath Bud....I could really use one..'cept the boiler down the ranch is fooked....and I'm out of magnesium...

That sounds like a Plan Ozone.....and it gets a cat a home..I've heard mice can't resist a sweet treat..and gummy bears are great for traps..but I haven't tried it..we Inherited a feral cat.

I didn't expect to be able to eat the Scotch Bonnet..they were for making med capsules..but they are my favourite.
I just tried the Trinidad Scorpions.........I Lost me taste buds for 20 minutes..

My Thai chillies are going for their second wind and are covered in flower..if Mother Nature is Kind..they might even over winter.
Fingers Crossed.
