Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner, almost ready to go but still have some questions and want to make sure everything is okay before I order.

Lights : Spider Farmer 2000 (200w). The only thing already ordered, everything else can change if needed.

Box : BlackSilver 80x80x180cm (~32x32x71")

Air extractor : QuietLine 200 m3/h (118CFM) AC Infinity S4 350m3/h (205CFM)?

Carbon filter : Hy Filter Carbon V2 200m3/h BullFilter 400m3/h (235CFM)?

Air intake : Passive (I think I just need to open one of the rectangular thing in the tent?)

Air circulation : 2 clip fans ProFan 215 m3/h (127CFM)

Seeds : HulkBerry Automatic from RQS (65% Sativa)

Soil : Biobizz Light Mix seems popular

Pots, # of plants : 4 plants in 11L pots should fit. ??? I thought 4 plants in 11L (3Gal) was fine but apparently it's too much? Would it be better with 2 in 14/18L (4/5Gal) pots? I read some conflicting infos on this so i'm kinda lost now. I'm planing on doing some basic LST if that changes anything.

Nutrients : ??? Bio Grow, Bio Bloom and Alg A Mic at 1/4 of their recommended schedule ? I'm very scared of overfeeding (especially autos) so I'm not sure what I should be looking for.

+ extras like temp/humidity/PH control.

Let me know if there's something obviously wrong with this setup or if you have recommendations on # of plants/nutrients.

Thanks !

Exhaust CFM seems a tad low to me. I run 400+ CFM in a 4 ft x 4 ft tent, but I must control odor well where I live. Virgin Australian carbon filters are good to tamp down odor......passive air intake is fine in small tents. Your clip fans will be ok in a tent of that size you mention.

I'd want about 180 CFM exhaust out in a tent of that size......

can't comment on Bio Bizz Lite soil.........I use Fox Farm soil.

the rest of your gear seems on point.

Cfm and the metric system are a bit at odds, so to translate into imperial, you have a 40cubic foot space. You want at least 3-4 air exchanges per minute, so that's about 120-160 cfm. You also want to get more fan than you need so it's not running at the margin, so 200cfm would be my target for a fan.

As far as plants in that space, I think four in 3gallon pots is fine, you could do 5gallon also since you have the headroom. The trick is really in training well, and then adjusting your lighting throughout the grow.

If you're not in Europe, please don't ship BioBizz products to the US. Plenty of north American based companies to choose from...

Ok so I need more air extraction. I choosed this one mainly because it claims to be quiet (30db at 3m) while being relatively cheap and noise is definitively an issue for me. They have a bigger one of 170/220CFM I'll have to compare the db with other brands and/or look for some noise reduction stuff.

Ok so 4 plants can fit, I was really confused about this. I'll have to look more in depth guides on LST but if I understand correctly I'm bending the main stem and then keeping every branch on the same level to have a flat canopy.

I am in Europe ^^

Thanks everyone !

@MoloBolo :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:.

If you over-size the extraction fan you can run it at a lower speed which will make it much quieter than a minimum size system running a maximum. Buy a fan with a speed controller built in.

Just go for it.................... You are going to be overwhelmed no matter how prepared you think you are. It is an adventure. Have fun. Talk to your plants. Become one with them.

Honestly though, of all the places to open your wallet, super premium genetics is one of the best. People get super wrapped up in the tech and whatnot, but premium seeds make such massive difference, way more than choosing the right extractor fan.

Being new to autoflowers I generally think the breeders that have been at it 10 yrs + probably have the most stable genetics, if you aren't looking for "the latest" strains.

Dutch Passion
Fastbuds
Mephisto
Nirvana

Sure all breeders have a few strains that haven't been run yr after yr........but when locals + myself grew outside if you used the same genetics yr after yr, in the same conditions, it got better and better.

I could be wrong about autos, as I have no experience, but its what common sense says.

I prefer BUD PORN to real porn. Always have.
